superb - has to be my favourite colour on the C if you ask me.......behind my car colour of course  .....aqua pearl 8)
-
Very nice. You have to love that colour!!
-
Good advice above. Just what I was about to say  :)
-
If only we knew someone who worked at motor factors........... Any ideas Ant?
-
Thought I'd conclude this thread........ Had checked brake fluid level and connections etc and everything was fine which is why I assumed it was the handbrake causing the problem but since checking the fluid level, the brake master cylinder had decided to come out!! Only a bit but enough piss the brake fluid away. Problem now sorted, thanks for replies!

No MOT's ever for Isle of Man residents  How much will your tax be out of interest?
-
presume this isn't needed and we can keep the praise :) in the other thread.

 getting slightly daunted at the idea now lol! I think if I put it into perspective, I have the following options: buy ready built MP3 hard-drive player......no work required by me other than install and it will hold everything I have.........£400 build own system.......as above plus dvd (which I probably won't be all that bothered about as I should be driving and I have no kids!) plus GPS (which I don't need) plus it's a lot cooler system to boast about 8) plus I get the hassle of putting system together and a harder job on the install........£400 Think the only realistic option is the buy-it-system. I would be interested to see how your system works when you have it installed though chris.
-
Ok cheers Chris - I will have a look. Could be a nice project.....*rubs hands* :)
-
chris sounds like a very good system! Don't think it's the kind of thing I would like/be able to take on. I could probably build myself a desktop pc but that's about as far as my knowledge goes! Want to build me one? I don't think I would need GPS either as the Isle of Man isn't all that big.......if I ever got lost I'd just stick my head out of the sunroof and look for where I was going!!

mate, try http://world.altavista.com/

no merge facility for me (maybe Andi has one??). Easiest way is for roddy to add the pic from the other thread in here and then that can be closed.
-
not got round to reading any independent reviews yet - will have a look shortly. Won't be selling the pioneer head if i get this because the mp3 unit basically takes the place of a changer....so you need a head unit to run it/for radio/cd's etc Still think it's pretty good for the dosh seeing as though you could get every piece of music you own on there!! Only thing that worries me a bit is how easy it is to navigate/manipulate the menu's for tracks/grouping of music. Depends if you can group tracks by CD album/artist/genre separately. I would have thought that if it's using the same files system as the pc (FAT32 i think) then you should be able to create your own navigation systems???

I'm looking at some MP3 players and quite fancy this one and was hoping for people's input on hard-drive MP3 players in general and also what is also available for the money. The price with an 80 gig HDD is £399 I think. Whaddya reckon? http://www.dension.com/index.dw?oldal=0&nyelv_id=2 http://www.dension.com/index.dw?oldal=2&nyelv_id=2 http://www.in-carmp3.com/index.php

Yeah, very nice car Roddy! You can have more than one attachment in a post and don't actually need a thread for each picture, just for your info. Might be better for comments etc to have them all in this thread??
-
I'm sure Andi would host the download off the forums for you.......... :?:
-
Not losing it mate! I believe Andi had to reset the system to the last backup point which has meant that any members registered or posts made since that date have been lost. :?: :?: Andi? Think we lost about 4 members as well - and I was going to buy a cake to celebrate 100

a nice cold air induction kit oh and hopefully jennifer anniston
-
think it's from the front which I tend to think is a sticky calliper because the squeak goes away once I'm moving. any cause/fix for this?
-
noticed that sometimes when setting off there's a small squeak which is pretty undescribable other than a 'small squeak'! sounds a bit like it's a brake pad sticking or something ie it frees up once the car is moving - only ever notice it when starting from standstill. any ideas?
-
3 hour drive??? takes me an hour to get from the very north of the island to the very south!! (never driven in england......quite scared  ) We only used to have 2 sets of traffic lights and that wasn't that long ago!!
-
More than likely there's more than one Andi as Eurotek are the UK agent for Stroeve Motorsport...... .....could be wrong though  The kit above suggested by CrazyMan looks pretty good - quite pricey but there are offering a 20% discount at the moment. Think I'll wait and see what Darren (8vG60 that is and not the other Darren) can do :)
-
I think the insurance group is mainly attibutable to the cost to repair a Corrado. Mk 4 golf parts should be easy to come by.
-
whinging   we'll see

As I said before to you, I think it would be a very long shot for me to attend. I would love to come and meet up with you guys and the karting idea seems like an excellent one! Trouble is ..... new house ..... going away twice to dublin before march ..... want to spend money on my car :) ........ and to actually get over there including travel accommodation etc etc, I could have gone to spain or summat! ......maybe next time :? :?:
