A better thread title may help Karl ....
-
They are thumbnailed, just click on one of them - look ok to me :) Welcome to the CF, nice looking motor :salute:

End of the day, there's a lot worse you could fit and apart from the time involved it will only be the cost of having the geometry done to swap to something else.

You should come over and see the real thing. Absolute agree, the guys are freaking nuts. Not seen the film yet but it's on the to-do list! Ok so I guess I should actually stick to the thread. Real Steel 7/10 - expected to hate it but felt surprisingly smiley when it ended Adjustment Bureau 8.5/10 - had no idea what it was about and being a Matt Damon semi love story, expected pants .... but it was strangely very watchable Drive 9/10 - not the greatest film ever, lots of style over substance, but actually an extremely well directed/produced film and with stacks of great characters/scenes - highly recommended Larry Crowne 6/10 - bit of a chick flick but vaguely likeable and if you have nothing better to do with 90 minutes, you could do worse Contagion 3/10 - in fact I don't even know why I've not just given this 0/10 - I resent the fact I didn't turn this off after 3 minutes Hangover II 6.5/10 - gets slated for being a replica of the 1st but it's still pretty good in its own right

Thought it was pretty good all round. At least it didn't reek of scripted bull****. Star in a **** car isn't too bad. Doesn't take up too much time and you usually get to see someone vaguely interesting. I think I hate it more when it's someone like Tom Cruise who has no reason for being there other than his PR people/Studio have told him it's what he has to do in order to promote the latest piece of **** movie he has out. Edit: Hmm I seem to be swearing quite a bit tonight. Maybe I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I thought

Locating a leak, need some help identifying the location please
VR6 replied to OllieVR6's topic in Engine Bay
I guess the issue is that a leak can start anywhere and travel to various locations on other engine parts. -
Should be fine - spring rates will be different for the VR but I doubt you'd notice much difference.

Welcome to the CF  I think you've hit the nail on the head; no one will have done the conversion you are after, let alone prepared a write up. However! In true Haynes manual style, if you can see the conversion done one way, it shouldn't be too hard, in theory, to do the opposite. http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?11040-How-to-convert-an-Auto-to-a-Manual ^ That thread will be a good starting point. There are lots of others around on specific areas of the task but that gives a general overview. HTH (and good luck! :))

Looks good Karl. How do you stop them tarnishing within 6 minutes?
-
Probably just too big (either dimensions or file size). How big are they? Maybe try resizing them?
-
Sounds good Andy, good work fella :salute: Any pics of the work in progress?
-
Your proof being ... ? And I don't own a VR ;)
-
I hate agreeing with kev but you've removed a silencer for no real reason and now you're complaining it's too noisy??
-
PPrices will get silly (sillier!!) as the years pass. I would hoard parts that I know I would use at some point. But parts just for the sake of making money? Average out the money you make over X years and I bet you could do better by picking 10 mining stocks!

You have posted in the newbies' section so a lot of people might not look in here expecting car pictures and stories. It is usually just for introductions to say a quick hello. The Members' Gallery would be far better for your car stuff.

It's ok guys, don't worry. I guess some people are just wired that way. Like how some men prefer a Mango Mojito over a pint of Stella. Personally I wouldn't worry about the chains either. It's a bit like worrying about a hip replacement when you're 73. I will give you 5p for every thread you can find entitled "help my chains have snapped and buggered up my engine". Speaking seriously for a minute, does the valver hold many ace cards over a VR these days? I say 'these days' as a few years back we would say one major thing: price. However, with purchase cost shoved to one side, fuel economy and expensive replacement parts/fixes must be pretty much on par? A 2.0 valver's joker card should be simplicity and therefore running costs but how true is that, bearing in mind that they are essentially the same car apart from the power plant?

Welcome back! :) PM me some of the likely email addresses and I can scan the DB for any match and hopefully reactivate.

Long time forum lurker!!! Trying to sell but can't upload!!!!!
VR6 replied to MrBoydjangles's topic in Newbies Hangout
I'll have to have a play matey. Strange as it sounds, I never use the classifieds! So everyone else is far better than I am! :) I do know that moving server recently has caused existing pics at e time to be lost but new ones should work ok. Then again we are revamping the classifieds so short term you may have to do without I'm afraid. -

Hiya, Give it another try, gets asked occasionally. It's automated but never seems to happen immediately for some reason. -
I will hold my hand up and admit this was my fault. You started a thread but posted twice. The second had a lot more pictures and info. So I removed the first thinking it should leave the 2nd post. But unfortunately it seems to have removed both. It was definitely a very interesting thread though and I'm sure everyone would love to read. If you can be bothered, it would definitely be worth the time to post again. I promise not to interfere!! :)

Checked your tyres for stones?
