Was there yesterday mate getting some bits from a 16v and I asked the guys where it had gone. Apparently when they are running slow on scrap they just pick cars from the top and crush them. Seems daft to me as there more money n them than scrap value. Anyway it gone chap, but I'll keep my ears and eyes open for another one.

Am sure there is one in sunderland metals mate near matilan. If you only brackets and the like sur should be ok. Or is it a fully working engine required?

legend m8, i mite bite the bullet and sell me vectra and get all ther parts this month No probs mate just give me couple of days notice to make sure its running cause going to do that engine first before I do the rado. Its running at the mo just waiting for my box of 16v parts to come back from me brother so I can bang literally the engine in.

If you find out how much they want for the engine complete I could offer the use of my van to get it back to yours if you like, at least two can be there to lift onto the van.

There is a mk2 8v in sunderland metals mate seen it the last timne I was there looking for some bits. You could poss could try and do a deal with them for all the bits before you take them off. Think its red. What intercooler you getting?

No chance on sending it down to the frasers cause they deal with turbos quite a bit on the beetles?

Managed 38mpg in the vr last year on the way to york raceway. However was travelling behind the boys towing the race cars so 60mph max but was still very impressed. different story on way back though cause went to see TomB and then got bout 25mpg cause tanked home.

Mate thats a right s*****r. Did you get broken into? Seems a real shame to break the car maybe someone might buy the whole thing to make back standard or continue to the g60t

Yeah got mine done gloss black got them back pretty quickly too only problem is they are in Sunderland so postage will be steep! But could try and sort it for youor if your wish let me know! Oh and dont know wether the pic worked after coating cause that will give you some idea

Here is some pics of mine got my arches rolled while I was dropping the wheels off. Had good crack with them all and they were very helpful. I'll pm the number I had for him was a mobile and from last year might help though i think i spoke to you at leeds vw show about banding wheels wasnt in my car tho it had just failed mot. :( cris has got wheels now and is rolling arches next weekend hopfuly. :D thanks i will get some pics up when its all done. Hey buddy pretty confident they only difference in connectors will be at the headunit itself so you should be fine

Nice looking rims man but from experience make sur they arent hidden valves otherwise could be very expensive if one goes wrong. Went for some lenso mesh wheels few years ago but they were too big (18s) so bought a set of 17s and have a valve problem. The solution that was given from the place that I bought the wheels from ws hire a tool for 100 quid to replace it thus being 120 quid for 1 valve or they would try and fit motorbike valves but wouldnt take any responibily for any damage they done. Just my experince. May be a completely different matter now it was 5 years ago.
