Rich1, You're going to have to mess around with the pipework, whichever cooler that you get. Will this cooler not fit into the same location that the existing cooler fits into ??
-
Any more than 2-3 weeks out in the elements & the discs are likely to have a fair amount of corrosion on them. If you want to re-use them, get them asap.
-
Shilakadaddy, I want a more throaty exhaust note :rambo: - the Magnex is just too quiet for me :? With a Powerflow system I can select the tailpipe that I like (keeping it oval) & I can select the exhaust note as well 8) The Corrado exhaust hangers were changed towards the end of 1991 production - you may have to look to see if you have the later hangers.
-
If the car's in a scrappers the discs are likely to be rusted beyond further use. I thought the MK4 calipers were a straight swap for the Corrado ones, just requiring new MK4 rear brake hoses to make them fit ??
-
Si B, maybe the pulley thing is why the alternator is unique to the G60's ??
-
What's going on with the "boost return" - is that red thing some kind of valve ??

Car looks great  How much ££ do you want for the reg plate :?:
-
Yeah - only covers the USA spec G60's & 2.8 VR6's :? It's an American manual & only covers Corrados officially imported into the USA

dubweiser, If you're car is still on the original ball joints - they will be totally knackered. As has already been mentioned, they'll seem okay when you check them. Once they're removed you'll see exactly how worn they are. They can be VERY difficult to remove from the front hub assy. I did 2 cars (Mine & a friends) recently, originally just changing them because we were having new wheel bearings fitted & thought we may as well fit new ball joints while the hubs were off. All 4 were completely rusted solid onto the hub carriers & required a fair amount of "persuasion" with a large'ish hammer to get them out. While you're at it - replace the lower wishbones too - the bushes are likely to be worn out
-
Yeah - they're crap Unfortunately, I have 2 on the back of my G60 at the mo. Back end's all over the place in the wet !! As Kev says - GSD3's (like my front ones) are the best 17" tyres to go for
-
I have a Magnex system on my G60 at the mo. You'll need to check that your exhaust hangers are the later "pin" type & not the earlier "hook" type. Magnex only do the later "pin" type system. Sounds just as quiet as the OE system IMO. I'm going to be changing it for a custom built Powerflow system later this year. My 12 month old Magnex will be for sale then

Agreed - just to be on the safe side  (use Synta Silver oil)

Looks lilke you're gonna have to bodge / re-route some piping

I'm running XP too, without any problems :? Dodgy disc ??

Could try looking here too  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5824

1990 G60 Fuel Problems... Costing me a fortune in gas ):
stevemac replied to cope's topic in Engine Bay
cope, 1. Is your car using oil ? 2. When was the charger last reconditioned ? 3. Did your "using too much fuel" happen just after anything else was done to the car ? 4. Check & clean up the earthing point on the bracket that the CO2 sensor wiring plugs into - bad earth here is common & may stop your sensor working properly. 5. Check your rear brake calipers - seized handbrake mechanism on the back of the caliper will cause your rear brakes to bind. -
went to look at a new corrado today!!!watcha think?
stevemac replied to ben16v's topic in General Car Chat
Visually - looks a bit of a dog to me (current condition) - not worth any more than £1500 IMO. As time goes by, I reckon you'd regret buying it. You'd be better waiting a few weeks, doing a bit more searching & maybe spending a little more on a good example. -
Be interesting to find out for definite - anybody have access to exact numbers ?? Like I said - I know of only 4 other metallic black ones  (although I assume there will be more)
-
Si B, We definitely sell the voltage regulators if you need one ?? I'm fairly certain that we also do the complete alternators - I'll check at work tomorrow
-
Bump
-
Definitely isn't metallic black - I know of only 4 others besides mine 8)

  Count me out - my engine's on the garage floor at the moment :rambo:
