Looks okay to me but I think it would suit some colours a bit more than others

Corrado T-Shirts ideas/Pre-Production NEW DESIGNS IN! 10/11
stevemac replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
I would definitely be interested in a "G60" specific shirt - possibly interested in a more general "Corrado" one. Would it be cheaper to have then made in the UK, than have to pay shipping from the USA ?? -

Only a real benefit on force inducted cars. They have much less requirement than normally aspirated cars for back-pressure fron the exhaust system. Less restriction from the exhaust = more power. With a correctly set-up engine maybe gains of 5 bhp & more responsive throttle could be expected. With an engine that's not set-up correctly - you'll notice no gain whatsoever.

Mike Edwards, Camber was set by Kevin Quigley Motor Services, here in Birmingham. Maybe I have thinner bolts than standard - I have approx 4-5 degrees of adjustment in either direction (brand new Sachs/Boge shockers). This is why I had way too much camber & my wheels were rubbing on the inner wheelarches, until I had the 4-wheel alignment done.
-
Picture now updated with part no's It would apear that not all of the front pad kits include a new set of these clips, nor do VW list them as fitting any of the Corrado range.
-
I'm gonna post the GSF part number on here tomorrow & update our (GSF) computer system to include Corrado's in the application list.

Yes - that's the one, prone to seizing Yes - not needed for MOT either Yes - get a SNS chip, smaller pulley & red-top (hi flow) injectors from Darren http://www.g-werks.com Yes - Jetex cone filter & heatshield, buy seperately & do not pay the extortionate amount of money that Jabba charge. Also remove the carbon canister to allow free flow of cold air into the air filter. Also consider getting a Golf G60 front mount intercooler - the Corrado one is useless
-
now come on steve mate.......don't hold back    Speaking from personal experience

Jabba are a complete bunch of wa**ers. Complete total and utter lying ba**ards !! Their so-called expertise & customer dis-service is well documented elsewhere on this forum.

Pagid fast road pads in my G60. Fantastic when warm, although the first time they're used in the morning, braking isn't too good. They're usually warm enough by the time I get to the end of the street. They do shed a little dust but are very keen under braking. Afterall, braking is what they're there for. I'd sooner have good brakes & dirty wheels than clean wheels and require a new front bumper (or worse).

Strangely enough - that's almost exactly the same wording as a note that I placed on a neighbour's Laguna last weekend. My car was left parked in the middle of the cul-de-sac where I live for around 4 hours - waiting for this arsehole to move his car from in front of my driveway.
-
Not always - I suspect that Corado's may have been fitted with a couple of different makes of calipers. On both mine & Blue_Joe's, the spring clips on the pads perform no useful purpose whatsoever - they poke straight through the slot in the caliper. The pads are held tightly in place by these (above) clips.
-
Yeah - I have a little extra camber too :rambo: A degree or so will improve cornering & won't make any difference to tyre wear.
-
The reason that you won't have any fitted is that VW do not list them as fitting a Corrado. Your old ones will have rotted away & replacements will have been impossible to find. These clips are definitely fitted to my G60 & also to Blue_Joe's G60. I strongly suspect that they're also fitted to 2cc's 1.8-16v too I found them in our warehouse today. I'll post the part number tomorrow evening.
-
Still ain't got mine yet either
-
Anybody else have this type of anti rattle clip fitted ??

Just failed my MOT and have 3 days to renew my road tax....
stevemac replied to biggerbigneil's topic in Archive
Maybe worth getting your MOT station to do the work - car definitely won't fail for a second time then  -
K&N panel filter is about the only option with K-Jetronic injection. Not possible to change the housing as this forms part of the injection system.
-
Why not have a deal with him & get him to have it re-gassed before you buy the car ??
-
Nice one m8, so far as I'm aware the later cozzies had approx 210bhp. Not quite so quick as the legend would have it, certainly not by modern standards. Cosworth escorts are a bit quicker - more bhp, lighter body, etc.

What width & ET rating are the wheels ?? You'll need to take a wheel off to see the size - this will be cast into the alloy on the inside of each wheel. Maybe it will read something like "7j x 17 ET37". Depending on the size, your front suspension may have an incorrect camber angle & need a 4-wheel alignment or you may need to fit spacers.
