Hiya Just wondered what peoples opionions of these were? I am going to replace the thermostat so is this better than O.E.? The engine is pretty much standard but I want to look after it in the long term. Is there a better termostat to get? Where would people recommend I get it from, awesome gti? Thanks
-
Thanks guys. Yeah I am currently taking the front bumper off (when I can get the flipping bolts off!!). Would you suggest VW stuff or any other manufactuers for the thermostat, temp senders?? Think I will look into the oil cooler. Stealth are the people to speak to for these I presume? Not as cheap as my G60 one was I fear! Thanks

Kinda like my heater matrix thread. My rad needs changing so I was thinking, should I change other bits? SHould I get one of those Neuspeed thermostats? Should I change the fans for thinner Spal or Kenlowe ones? Is it worth putting an oil cooler on even though its going to stay pretty standard? Any other ideas on what to do. Thanks :D

Lovely choice in a great colour. VERY jealous! -
Well yeah, if your happy with taking the dsah out shouldnt be a problem. Although you dont have to take the dash out to change it.

Straight swap - Yes. Easy swap? Not Likely!!

All cars in the uk pull to the left a little. Incase you fall asleep at the wheel you wont drift into oncoming traffic, rather just the curb. What condition are you wishbones, mounts etc in?

Interior dilemma-Roll Cage or Rear seats ????
Son of a Beesting replied to JIMMI's topic in Interior
There was a car on autotrader a few weeks back with these. Search for Solomk1 (I think thats what is name is anyway). He had merc seats in the front so maybe try seraching for that? It depends, really. Do you use/need rear seats? Do you intend to keep the car for a long time? I presume you mean a functional cage, if so they are quite expensive. They can look great in a properly done car, but have little use if your just going to the shops and back. Do you do/want to do any track work? EDIT: Just read your sig, sounds like a beast of car (goes searching for your members gallery thread) so might do your car some good on the handling front! Your car sounds amazing by the way! -
Looks so stunning. Especially love picture 2!

I think the optics are pretty poop so maybe the light could be broken. Pull it out and have a look. As for the fan not working, not sure, wouldnt be the thermal fuse gone? Try taking the knob off and cleanign the conenections. Hope you get it sorted

Which one do you think you would look back at once after you have parked it to admire it? Which one is more understated (if you like that sort of thing). Which offers something that the Corrado cant? Must suck to have to make such a decision!  -

Thanks, its nice to be able to keep the car in the forum. Hopefully I will be able to keep it around for many more years. Its a great car and you can see that it has been loved. I intend to carry that on. Looking forward to summer! EDIT. Thanks for the pics GIXXERUK, I have a new desktop image for my computer now!! -

Cheers GIXXERUK, I am not sure about the FK lights. The g/f loves them but I prefer the all red I think. Oh decisions, decisions. Wish the car was still running those wheels. oh well maybe some compmotive MO's will go on the future. Ballys car looks great though. -

I would be interested in the rhino skinz stuff as the OEM stuff never goes back on correctly. I would be interested to see how well it works! Good stuff. I am jealous 8)

Agreed, but that clip of the guy doing a front flip over 9 people is impressive! 8) -
Seems very strange. Agreed that part looks like more something that goes under the bonnet. Keep us updated.

Hammond back on top gear, starting 28th jan!

Excellent news! -
Agreed. JMR did most of the work on my old G60 and was always 100% and very friendly. Saying that I spoke to G-werks a few times and brought stuff from them and they were always happy to chat and help out in general. I wouldnt have any worries leaving my car with either of them!

I used synta silver in my G60. I think I will use Pro S now though in the VR. I used it in my 200sx and it was great stuff. But I dont think you can wrong with either. Just depends on how flush you are!

Hi Well I brought a VR6 (gradeafailure's) and it needs a heater matrix/the heater vent dial doesnt go round all the way and I am going to swap the dash shell. I am going to get an OE heater matrix and I have a new dash shell. Is it worth getting a OE heater dial box as well to replace the broken one? I dont spending that bit extra to get OE bits. Is it worth it? do GSF or ECP sell them? Are they any good? I am going to give it a good clean while I am there. To say I am a little worried about this job is an understatement!!!! I only want to do it once so any other ideas will be greatfully receieved. Thanks
