Hello My mate is getting married in a few months and he is after hiring a modern luxuary car (like a Phantom or an Arnage etc). Has anyone used any good companies? He lives in the basingstoke area. Thanks

Quick question for the audiophiles on here ?
Son of a Beesting replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Have you tried looking at http://www.talkaudio.co.uk ? Its specifically an audio website, and more people likey to have experience of these subs. Focal are a very good make (that to for the MB), if you cant seperate them musically, try seeing which one looks nicer!! Either way you are laughing! Hope you get it sorted mate -
VR6 Highline versus a Nissan 200sx
Son of a Beesting replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in General Car Chat
The lesser know option on the Nissan extras list! gay leather... I never had a car with leather before and at the moment I am learning the car rather than pushing the limits so I am quite liking. Sure once the summer comes round I wont be as keen. Like your idea about getting parts second hand, any thing you want to send my way will be gratefully received. :) Does that go for your clear indicators? I looked at apex performance and the price for clear indicators shocked me!! -
VR6 Highline versus a Nissan 200sx
Son of a Beesting replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in General Car Chat
Thank you for all the advice, and the decision is........... I am now a proud owner of a 200SX, black with black leather interior, Nismo suspension, FSH, 82000 miles on the clock. I love it. I will have to come to the next meet and show all those Nissan nay-sayers what a 200sx can do! Thanks again -

VR6 Highline versus a Nissan 200sx
Son of a Beesting replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in General Car Chat
thanks scott Your 200 looks mint. 290bhp 8) got to respect that. I think the golf only really appeals to me because i have always had VW. Seen a 98 s14a with 82000 full service history Nismo coilovers and a new clutch and brakes for £4995 (looking to pay £4500) black with the black leather interior that I will hopefully go to look at his weekend. Hard pressed to get a car that looks quite as mean I think this side of a R33 skyline. -
Hello Please help me........ I sold my C g60 months ago and I now have saved enough money for a new car. I have pretty much narrowed it down to a MK3 golf Vr6 highline (classy, VR6, VW, cheaper to insure) or a nissan 200sx (faster, different, looks better, more exciting). I am going out of my head thinking about this so any opnions?? I am hopefully going to drive some at the weekend but anyone owned either of these? What are they like in the real world? I know with the nissan i will need to be careful over the next few months in the wet and ice but will this not matter once the summer comes. I dont drive to many miles so MPG isnt that important, although these two cars are ABOUT the same. Please help me....... thanks

I got a Varta battery from the dealers. If you can have you check your water is topped up?? checked all connections are ok? It a bit cheaper to do this then spending cash on a new battery. Hope you get it sorted mate.

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive November 05]
Son of a Beesting replied to Dub_nut_g60's topic in General Car Chat
G60 Dan. I saw you last night (monday) coming into Maidenhead town centre round the 3 building. I was in the (ahem) blue fiesta that was gawping at you at the traffic lights. Makes me wish i hadnt sold mine now  -
Not a great deal in it (the biggest cost goes with supercharger rebuild but these are not regular). But a G60 will be an older car so more prone to things like bushes/suspension etc. Sorry to sound negative but its better to go into battle with both eyes open. Dont let that put you off, no car for the money (and even more money) comes close

wire.... no obvious connector for it..... now what??
Son of a Beesting replied to White2505's topic in Engine Bay
It might be a wire for something your car wasnt fitted with originally. All the looms are the same but not every car has every option. maybe that could be it? -
You going to get your C in a nice gold colour as well then??

Interesting "Get Out" clause for speeding....
Son of a Beesting replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
Hate to say it but it doesnt surprise me, not wanting to get into the whole 'anti police' thing but speeding is a money making exercise for the countries constabulairies (sp). -
Ahhhhhhhhh the Scirocco what a great car. :D

Sell me the S3 for £5000 then you wont have that to distract you!! :D

BMW have a different stud pattern, 5x112 i THINK! dont think they would fit from a BMW to be honest. They are VERY rare so will take a while to find. Maybe some other forums might have them for sale. Try edition 38 or club gti forum. Sorry cant be more help mate

Anyone seen Channel 259 on SKY?????
Son of a Beesting replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
would this be the Audi channel?? If so think already been posted, but good stuff on the early life of the quattro. Think the test drives might be a bit biased though!! -
While I am there I would be tempted to have a look at the other belts and if you have a G60 change your cambelt tensioner bolt if it aitn been done already
-
PS belt or fluid???
-
lovely.... Considering one of these as the Corrado is now gone. Wouldnt mind some more details if you got the time... cheers

My dad has had a couple (cue abuse) and he has had a few problems but he is pretty happy with it. I wouldnt say they are badly put together. I think car manufactuers (sp) have there own strengths and weaknesses. But im biased and I would say a Passat as parts are a bit cheaper and i think it would be cheaper overall.

You could indeed!! What you should do is phone up put on a girls voice and then phone up and talk normal and see what changes in the outcome!!
