Why cant I find these deals

Agreed, my mate did this and has just gone his own insurance this year and is paying well over £1300 for a standard MR2 in a decent area. He is 24 years old. I always did my insurance and now even on performance modifyed cars in a bad area I pay no more £700 fully comp.

I never had a subaru but I sold my Corrado to get a jap car and I sold it within a year and I am looking at a Corrado again. Its all down to personal taste though but I know which I would have! -

They are not that cheap to keep going! The third cylibder is very weak and it requires a rebuild (or at least major attention) every 7-10 thousand miles apparently. I wouldnt do it, they are cheap prospect though! -

yeah I know its a corrado :-P He seems pretty geniune, it was the people before that seem to have put the wrong sprocket in. Although to do that seems a strange thing to do. I am sure the car has more history to it. I am not sure what to do  I am just not up on the vr6 engine, if it was a g60 I would be fine! -

I didnt do this but I am looking at buying one that has this done. It is changed for the correct item now and is apparently fine. Is there something I should be looking at that coudl have been damaged by this. The car has done about 110, 000 miles. I guess a chains/tensioners will need doing soon. Why would people change the valve stem oil seals as well? Is this a sign the car has had somewhat of a problem past? Thanks -
Congratulations mate I will be buying it!

Decision help needed Another 'Rado or golf??
Son of a Beesting replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in General Car Chat
problem with a converted MK2 is that you never know quite how well the conversion was done and what condition the engine was in. You could be putting yourself up for big bills! -

HAHAHAHA, have you met her! She is spanish and cant see why I would want to get a convertiable car in this country! I am trying to put it in a romantic light but she is not convinced YET. But she has taste, she loved my last corrado, she even cried a little bit when I sold it! -
Hi Before anyone shoots me down for asking if I should get another rado or a golf let me explain. I used to have a G60 corrado and I loved it to bits. I sold it to get a Nissan 200 sx. Its a good car but doesnt do it for me anymore. I am getting married in May and I am looking to fulfil a dream of mine.... to buy a westfield. 8) I am putting the Nissan up for sale this weekend so I need to get another car soon. I was orignially thinking of getting a corrado vr6 but i think this might eat to much of the 'westfield' money up. So I looked at a golf vr6 as they are pretty cheap. What are peoples views of these cars? How about a 2l 16v Corrado. Which car do you think will be cheaper to run? Or should I just say the westfield probably aint going to happen and get a really nice vr6 corrado?? Opnions gratefully recieved. Rich
