Agree with dinkus, You can get annoyed at a car for costing moneya nd taking money away from something else but at least you know these things are fixed. You get no such guarentees with a new car, it could end up costing you more. I did the same thing to my old g60 and a year later I have another Corrado sitting outside my house. TAKE YOUR TIME making the decision to sell. Trust me only do it if you are certain/have to.

I would say heat shield. Have a look to see if any bolts have sheared off.

I think they buy 'interesting' cars for the purpose. They try to get outlandish cars that will make good tv. In the end they are making tv and not after a bargin to run around in. If you knew you only had a car for a few days you would get something a little different!

It may not have been really about cars but still a great episode. Showed those 'stereotypes' about some from the south are closer to the truth than a lot of people think. I think the dash requires some work to put. Door cards (apart from window switches) are similar.

Making them fit is supposed to quite difficult. I think budget a few hundred pounds on getting them fitted.

Yeah I heard that as well. I have never used the flashing tape sp I cant comment but Ihave sound proofed a few cars. Prep is the key, the corrado has a lot of greese etc on it to clean off before you can get a good contact surface. The Nissan was so much easier, but then it wasnt as well screwed together!

I should have learned by now, nothing is cheap with VW. Ok so I had a look at the weekend. The cogs appear to be ok, a little stiff but hoping some greese will help that. But it wont turn when I pull the cable. So maybe just the cables are shot. When you get the cables from VW do they come in the plastic sheath?
