Audioscape door pods These have never been fitted to a car the one is still in its packaging the other I fitted a speaker to test and that was it. I am ashamed of myself for paying so much and never having enjoyed then :( As I no longer have a Corrado :( I cannot keep saying I will get around to it. Anyway for sale are the Late spec door pods with grilles with the cloth fitted and a set of unused Focal Polyglass V2 speakers Links for Pics https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=65D28BF9EBC2DFDC!245&authkey=!AB2F2T1CvqPd1z0 https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=65D28BF9EBC2DFDC!246&authkey=!AD6626-cYAU6rFk Would like to get back what I paid for them if possable so will try price of £250 to start with but open to offers as I paid £300 for them new

does anyone have a corrado that doesnt break?
robbo101 replied to Danny Ess's topic in General Car Chat
As stated all cars have problems and I don't think the corrado is worse than any other car prob better than alot. People only write up problems mainly not the good times lol. I have had mine 7 years and have had to call out the AA twice in that time. Mine is a average car with 180K on the clock it is in no way a mint example as its used every day and my only car. It has had other troubles that have needed sorting out over the years like all the cooling plastics needing replacing I would change one bit and the leak would move to a new place annoying and I should have changed the lot in one go but its all been done now. :) I would be happy to buy another if I ever got rid of mine as for driving they are a great car so I would say go for it and get one -
As stated above alot of classic car policies don't need a NCD. I used to be insured with Footman James (not the corrado) and they requied no proof or gave discounts for NCD. The only downside is u don't accumulate any either but as u r already getting it on your other car not a problem.

I do find it annoying the amount of potholes in reverse there are everywhere now. They should take the tarmac and fill the holes in roads instead of these car damaging speed humps. Other drivers do get annoyed behind me all the time. I have even had people trying to overtake me when going over them. but as soon as my back wheels drop off I am accelerating hard so they dont stand a chance lol. Trouble is there is always another just down to spoil ur fun :( Wouldn't dream of confronting anyone by getting out the car as there are too many wierdo's out there so u never know who u will get (plus I am a wimp haha)

I do remeber where a court did do the decent thing once and chucked out a case that was the same as there was no evidence that any motorists had changed there speed based on the defendants actions. I only wish more courts would do the right thing a chuck out stupid cases like this and charge the CPS for wasting there time. Makes me angry what a shambles the UK courts

You forgot rare Karmann interior in your advert lol :D

I have always loved the Esprit and would have one if I could afford to buy/run one. Sure they have loads of problems as do any car that is hand built in a shed lol. But I don't think it would put me off. There are plenty of cars that are built badly and they will give u loads of trouble but it depends on the owner of the car previously and what they have done to it. There are people on this forum that wouldn't trust there car to do many miles and have expensive bill all the time and there are plenty of others that have no trouble. Lotus's are the same. Sure there are plenty of dogs out there but there are also pampered cars that have had money spent on them and the major trouble area's sorted and would make a reliable cars as long as they are treated right. I am sure the later cars were put together better than the ealier stuff anyway. If I won the lottery a 350 sport would deff in the gararge So I wish u well on your hunt to find a fine example. (Ps don't blaime me with my advice if it blowes up after 10 miles lol)

I have one on my VR6 and I like it. It has a nice fit but is a little low as the rear box is mounted the other way and scraps on speed bumps. Its the same as the pic on the corrado on their site. I love the sound of mine it makes a nice sound on overrun but is not massively loud at motorway speeds. They ask you what you want in terms of sound and then build it to that for you so you can go loader than stock if you like. I asked for just a little more than stock and thats roughly what I got. There is a thread on here that disscuses them more I am sure but as I am on a crap connection I cannot seach for it. :(

4mpg difference between actual MPG and MAF display
robbo101 replied to leeeeshad's topic in Engine Bay
Well I only use the MAF to see what I am getting. So Maybe I should fit a supercharger and improve what I am getting now then :) -
WTF was they thinkin :(
-
So who were the other company as mine is due soon and want to know where people get bargins from :)
-
Nope been going for about a year and a bit now and not been any trouble since :)
-
my car used to do this all the time. I replaced the whole starter just to be sure. Out of interest why can you not bump the VR as I did mine 5 or 6 times
-
Yes I have Aircon and heated leather and thats where my ABS light is too. Mine does come on from time to time as stated prob a ABS sensor faulty. they don't cost alot from what I remember when I replaced one 2 years back. Need VAG-Com to find out which it is and change it.

I did testdive a GTI-6 once I thought it was ok but nothing special. That and its no different in looks to a diesel 306. My mate the brought one not long after. It is a nice car don't get me wrong but the turning circle is pants due to the 6 speed box and its a car you have to rev hard to get it to shift. I love the vr6 as it can do either gentle cruising or thrash the hell out of it happily. Where the GTi-6 always need a little stick to keep it moving. He also had a bad time with runnign costs he had the pipe fail and overheated needing the head skimmed and new headgaskit not long after had the suspension fail on a front and crawling home the tyre exploded due to rubbing on the broken spring. I guess he was just unlucky with his though and thats my point I have had m vr6 5 years now its got 175k on the clock and its used daily. Its been off the road twice in that time for a broken fuel pump and the rad leaking. I have had to do the rest of the plastic pipes for water in the car over the time I have owned it but never let me down just small leakes that I drive with for a few weeks and sort out on a weekend. Some people are lucky with there vr6 I am guessing I am one of them (Talking reliability here as mine is not a minter or anything) and as you say some have a nightmare and wouldn't concider having it as their only car. Good luck with whatever you decide on though :)

People who like to think their cars are great but aren't.
robbo101 replied to oldskooliain's topic in General Car Chat
I have owned a couple of rovers before my VR the 1.8VVC fitted to them was a quick engine. Lotus didn't end up using it for no reason. Parkers list it as 0-60 mph 7.5 s for the BRM. Not bad for a rover and would prob catch out a unsuspecting driver. I like them orange grill and all and concidered getting one That or the Jordan Civic Saying that though Don't think I would swap my VR6 for one :) -
Got 177K on my Vr6 and us it as a daily driver. :D I have owned it for 5 years but high mileage don't put me off too much. was on about 145 when I got it. Its not a great well looked after car either. But it was cheap when I brought it and have had no major issues. As for selling it. I do oftern concider it. But its a great car to drive and what else could you buy for the money you would get for it as Raddo's prices are low ATM. Nothing in its price range comes close to it in my opinion. So don't give in and keep smiling when driving it.
