Hi Does anyone have the emissions figures for the VR6? I was told that any cars over 225g would be penalised with a £25 congestion charge and wondered where the VR6 falls in under this? Regards Nick

Just felt that I had to come on and tell everyone about what a great experience I had at Stealth in the hands of Vince! It is such a relief to find a garage that knows their Corrado's so well and at the same time are such nice people to deal with! I drove all the way from London to Coventry and it was worth every mile. Will definitely be going back again and will not take my Rado elsewhere now! I should also say how much I love my new suspension: H&R springs and KONI T/A shocks with Eibach ARB and new Audi S3/TT wishbone bushes! AWESOME!

Don't suppose anyone with VAG.com in the North East London/Essex area (or anyone in London) is able to help me are they? I would order one, but they will take a while to deliver from the USA and the UK site is soooooo expensive.

Hi all I jave just installed a new Alpine Head Unit and I see that you can connect the headunit up to the car's illumination adjustment. To quote the manual: DIMMER LEAD: This lead may be connected to the vehicle's isntrument cluster illumination lead. This will enable the vehicle's dimmer control to dim the backlighting of the unit. I would like to do this, but can anyone tell me which lead I should tap into? I was thinking the illumination wire on the bulb for the ashtray or something but don't know which of the wires I need. Can anyone advise me, please? Many thanks Nick

Hi all, Does anyone have VAG.com in London at all? I am in North East London and need to find what part of my ABS system has failed. Inititally the light was on intermittently and is now on permanently and I want to find which part I should replace and I believe VAG.com is what I need? Can anyone oblige? Nick

Does anyone have the part no's needed for a '94 VR6: ABS relays ABS sensors Also prices would be brill, I can't load my Etka and my VW is useless with parts unless I spoonfeed them the info.... :?

Well - this is not working out well for me at all so far :( The gaps are causing water to come in and drip into the interior. Looking at the design, it seems that there are only channels on the left, right and the edge nearest to the windscreen. The back edge has no drainage channel on the mechanism frame and therefore water coming in there is going all over the place. What are my options? Should I buy a new seal from VW? Is that possible? Has no-one else experienced leaks?

Okay - I came to my senses and opted for a Passat B4 moonroof. Came from an N reg car - what I have noticed is that there are small gaps around the seal all the way round. The corrado steel roof measures 2mm longer than the Passat. Should I not worry about it and rely on the drain and gutter system in the mechanism? What have others done about the gap?

The moon roof tempts me, I must say - but then it makes the car less original, and that puts me off a bit. Got a price of £350 from GPC for the whole new sunroof - starting to think I may just go down that route. At least I know it will work and will have been assembled properly... i.e. not by me. What I can't tell from ETKA is whether the frame actually comes with the guides and cables. It should do, but the dealers don't know for sure...

Hi All I would ideally like to buy a brand new fully assembled sunroof mechanism with a preassembled set of guides and cable etc... as I don't fancy fiddling about with the guides etc. Is this the correct part number: 357 877 431 ? Has anyone ordered one of these before and does anyone know a price? Much appreciated. Nick

Having removed my sunroof frame from the car tonight, I can see that one of the metal guides has sheared off (passenger side). What do I do to remove the old ones from the frame and also the cable? I just can't work out how to get the old one off! The wind-flap is stuck down flat and so I am not able to see underneath it - how do you make the flap lift up? Anyone? :?

Any idea how much a new ABS relay is and are there two relays in total? How do you know which one is faulty? I have just started getting the intermittent light problem on the ABS light and wondered if it was the sensor or the relay. Same with me - sometimes I get a reassuring click and the light goes out, otherwise the light stays on. Interestingly, the light tends to go out when the car has been restarted once warm!

Hi guys. Thanks for this. Yes, I was thinking of doing the same thing myself, but in the end, I ordered the spindle from the dealer and it should be here today. £11, so not expensive at all. Just hope I don't have a hard time pushing the rivets in. Would have made it much easier if VW supplied them with M6 nuts and bolts!!

Yes, I thought it was odd for it to break. Is it possible to order the complete window wiper mechanism fully assembled, then? The other side seems to be very firmly attached, which led me to assume that it was riveted in!

Hi All Been having a lot of trouble with my windscreen wipers lately and found that the drivers side arm was loose at the mechanism. After removing the entire wiper mechanism, I discovered that the wiper shaft (part number 536 955 216) has sheared off from its mounting on the wiper assembly framework. It looks as if it fixes on by some kind of rivets. Does that sound correct? The part is listed as available separately, but I am not sure how to connect a new wiper spindle shaft (part mentioned above). Anyone done it before? Cheers, Nick
