If you decide to keep them on, where did you get them cos i've only seen them on awesomeGTI for around 250 notes???

Tempest did some G/B's a while back for these lights but im not sure if hes gonna do it again, youd have to ask.

Yep, same mount - GSF sell them.... they are an arse to change tho...

I need to do mine at some point but what makes it so hard to change ??

All i wanted to do was swap the casing's over :( I though the internals would just come out :(

What do those two screws hold then ??

You'll need a hyd. press mate,re-attach the spindle's nut to protect the threaded bit and apply pressure until it pops out.

Be carefull because the aluminium can be fragile,cheers,Andrew.

I dont have a hyd press but do you mean that it will push off the spindle ??

I can see two screws that look like tey hold the spindle on !! but i cant get to them AAAHHHHH I just cant get my head around this LOL

Ive bought a polished Alt casing (cos im to lazy) from a mate of mine and today ive tried to swap the casings over.

Ive gotten everything apart except for the smaller part of the casing that attaches to the main spindle thing :wink:

There seems to be two screws/nuts on the inside of the casing but I cant get to them. Has anybody else ever done this and if how ??

I need to get a new front engine mount for my 1.8 valver. So ive been looking on GSF and found these -

10144 ENGINE MOUNTING-FRONT CO 4 Cyl 9/88

10144B ENGINE MOUNTING-FRONT(BQ) CO 4 Cyl 9/88

Anyone know which one I need, Ive no idea what (BQ) means :roll:

My G/F has a JVC KD-SHX700 H/U and it works fine most of the time.

BUT every once and a while it will loose all of the presets in the memory. This happens 2-3 times a week just from normal usage but also does it everytime you take the face off with the unit running.

My H/U Sony CDX-F7700 is wired up in the exact same way red = ign +/Yellow = perm live/black = earth and runs fine and never loses the memory.

The cars battery is fine and the charge system is good but I cant think what the problem is.

Anybody else have this H/U and/or problems.

Red with Inpro smoked rear lights going round Birstal roundabout. I only caught a glimpse as i joined the M62.

From that pic the C looks like it would make a good looking pick-up !!!!!

Stealth overzealous with oil, that doesn’t sound like them. Who at Stealth did the work ??

Id say 7 weeks is more than plenty of time to screw up the CAT but cant say how much power would be lost sorry :(

Check the water level. Theres a sensor in the top of the tank and makes the light flash when the water gets to low.

Just curious, if you undo one side of them can it be moved up and down at all or does it stay fairly solid?

If you undo one side of mine it would move around a bit, but when its all done up its rock soild. You could jump up and down on it if you were short enough LOL

Ive got the Trimsport one in mine and as A20 LEE says you really can tell the difference.

Yeah I just noticed that, I used the second two part numbers you gave me as the one in the top post (27 133 201 ac) is for the actual manifold so assumed the other number was for the lower half. Do i feel like a muppet now :lol:

037 129 717F is the number for the head to manifold gasket.

Ive just found my old gasket and its very different :lol: But no party number on it :(

Anybody found it for me :D

The one at the bottom of the pic is the correct one :D

Ive picked these gaskets up from VW today and the upper to lower (027 129 717f) one is perfect but the lower to head (037 129 717e) is completely wrong :lol: :lol: (1st Pic attached)

Can someone have a look on ETKA and find out which one i need.

Also the incorrect gasket turned up with its bag tied to it and the other was in its bag, anybody think that somebody way having a laugh at the warehouse :roll:
