Thanks guys got this sorted yesterday. I got a pack of allen sockets from Halfords for £13 soaked the bolts in WD40 and gave it a good sharp blow as Supercharged said.

Where did you get the silver rings from they look cool

I was taking the airbox off my car one night and my fan started up even though it had been 12ish hours since id driven it.

I found that it was the sender on the front left of the head/rocker cover. It was missing its plastic sleeve and everytime the braided fuel line touched it the fan would come on.

Could this also be your problem ??

Everything's gonna be fine once I get these allen bolts off (I hope :lol:) Ive got everything else that I need to do the job so ill take a look in Halfords tomorrow.

My near side wheel bearing is shot so Ive tried to change them today. Problem is that I can get everything to come apart except for the two Allen key bolts that hold the calliper holder bracket thing (Technical name im sure :lol: )

Ive used the world supply of WD40 and left it an hour but still they wont budge. My Allen key is now completely twisted from trying :lol:

Anyone else had trouble with these bolts and how did you sort it.

£10 + VAT for the upper and £2 + VAT for the lower.

£15 for 2 gaskets "Stealers" LOL

Your 100% that thats for the 50mm, cos VW havent got a clue.

Can you have a look and see what both gasket Part No's are aswell Please.

Can some one please tell me what the Part No's are for the 1.8 16v inlet manifold (50mm) both top and bottom halves.

Just tried calling VW for the parts and the guy didnt have a clue :lol:

The 16v ISV has 2 vac pipe outlets and the 8v only has 1.

The 8v one doesn’t have the outlet that ive circled in yellow.

Pic isnt working so ive reposted it for you mate.

This has now gotten to the point where if i try to pull away there are no revs for about 5secs, and then i go flying down the road juddering til the revs reaches about 3.5k. So basically its getting a lot worse.......
