  3. Heheehehe, WB Trebor, you back again? How did the C sale go? Did you get your price in the end? What kind of price can you get Schrick manifolds for VR6's? Oakley
  4. Thanks Reggit, 1 thing less to worry about now.
  5. Thanks, phew, finally know now. Could definately be worth it next time somebody is up North england side for a rolling road.
  6. I think you are right Mat, I would imagine it needs a bit of a longer run. By the way, does anybody else see this, My rado when i am at a light or something and I am watching the Mpg, it seems to tick down slowly, very slowly, is that normal at a standstill?
  7. Well I have mailed the guy selling it telling him to get it on here so we can at least fire questions at him! Could be a good buy! you never know!
  8. Okay, I know I am going to sound stupid but what is a rolling road, and why do some people only spectate?

    Engine Clean?

Hi All Just a quick question about cleaning my VR's engine. What is the best way to do it and can it cause any problems? A friend of mine said to steam the engine while it is running! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oakley
  12. well I think I will avoid that damned roundabout in future to avoid the embarrasing situation this little bast*** put me in! Supercharger, here we come!
  13. why, what is this? and how could it possibly beat a vr6? I mean, I was doing 70 in second so how is that possible?
  14. Looked almost exactly like this piece of rubbish, I think as it was dark already
  15. well I am not sure how to spell it but it was slightly longer than a smart car and had a dead flat back from top to bottom kinda like those (spelling here so I will try to pronounce "sayshento) dog ugly lil fecker")
  16. LOL, by the way, is it worth supercharging my C? What else would I have to do in the way of changes, I am sure I can get it upto 500bhp. Seen it somewhere i think!
  17. That is so true and makes me feel a whole lot better.
  18. To me there is nothing nice sounding that 2nd gear kicking in at 4000-6000.
  19. :( I wish I knew, It did kinda look like an Charade. I justr wanted to drive over him, thats all, is that to much to ask, I mean, why did I buy this VR6 is what I was thinking! then i ran into a 2.7 boxter and remembered why I love this C so much!
  20. Last night, on the way to the garage to play with my engine, I was going around a roundabout with what I thought to be a real heap of crap in front of me. As we got to the onramp, I put my foot down and so did this what appeared to look like a 1970's Micra (if they existed in the 70's) with very old plates, before A reg I think. The issue was, that as I was pulling at 5500 revs in second, this thing was pulling away from me! What the hell could that have been because DAMN.......? Needless to say I just pulled to the left lanes and stayed there with my tale in between my legs until he was out of sight. Would'nt want him to see that he blew a vr6 away.
  21. LOL, I think you are probably right with that one Pablo, but you know if you drive a VR, it is impossible to lay off the gas when some dumba** clio tries to make you look stupid, no VR driver would stand for that!
  22. Pablo, The Vag was saying that my Lamda was intermittent, hence the replacement thanks to Reggit whi diagnosed the problem. Get yours on the Vag if it is heavy. Mine was throwing out 17mpg on the motorway @70mph which was extreme as far as I am concerned. Oakley
  23. I forgot all about the ISV as it seems that the lamda resolved my problems but for how long I wonder. I will still clean the ISV when I get the chance just in case. I have been told that the Lamda error code will be stored in the ECU and it needs a reset! I am also told just disconnecting the battery for 25-30 minutes will clear this code. My question is, which battery leads do I dis-connect, or is it just both of them?
  24. Problems solved guys, Lamda probe replacement solved fuel consumption and dipping issues by the looks of it. Lamda was a real bitch to replace but I should probably have waited for the engine to cool down first I suppose. Thanks all for the help. Oakley
  25. Hi All Seems my C's Lamda probe was the cause of my fuel consumption problems. Replacing it has also solved my rev dipping and cutting out problem so thanks to all for your help. Oakley
