Hey Presto! I have my Car back :D: Cheap it was not. Robbing VW Ba574rds in the ROI charged me 126 euro, and that was after a discount, and yes that was only for the Part. I did the Job myself. Took me 1 hour from start to finish. and now like new. Very happy :D I have taken some photos and will right up a "how to" a little later. TKS CF for all the help and advice. Kieran.

Cheers Blue, Hope its as simple as that. but there is fluid leaking through the housing and comming out at the bottom. Has anybody got any diagrames of the assembley that I can have a look at. Is it something I can do myself? Anybody know the part number? TKS in advance.
-
Leaking under the gear box, no other leaks. do you recon the internals of the clutch plate chould be shagged if fluid has been leaking within the housing? Ps tks for the reply

Man, Been a night-mare-week. Went to move the C (Vr6) on Sat ant the clutch pedal was all the way to the bottom. I pulled it up by hand......shot down again with the spring return Bummer.... cant move the Corrado. Had a quick look and there... spotted the prob. Breal fluid low, level below the clutch return pipe. No Bother, got me some fluid. toped it up. pumped the pedal a few times and hey presto she stiffened-up. 1 min later it was gone again.. Hmmmmmmmmmm? Toped it up again with some more fluid... same again, one min later, clutch pedel gone fluid low but no sign of any leaks......... ....well not until I got under the car. Fluid pissing out approx directly under the location where the pipe enters at the top. Oh SH!*.... Whats the prob now? Major/Minor Exp/Cheap? Clutch shagged? Fluid leaking onto clutch innards? HELP!

Cracking car, Never driven one but sure like the luck-o-that. If you like old skool, then the A610 is the way to go. Was half temped some years back but heard they were a horriable drive, R21 platform I understand but stonking in a straight line Smooking! :D

Bent wheel? and the rest. not going to be cheap to fix that "little prang" did something similar in a Goof Vr many years ago ( no ways near as bad i might add and the bill was circa 600 notes. ouch!

 Right thats it. VW ireland suck in my opinion. sorry if that upsets anybody but they dont even know what a Corrado is. One " is it a VW cos we are VW main dealers you know" One " is it a van?" One " oh we are a Vw dealers now, we havent dealth with Seat's now for some years" One, hold on..................Price depends on what work is needed" I Just want it serviced......" I'll just put you through to parts, cos parts are now very hard to get hold of" needless to say I hung-up. Right can anybody help, I am looking for a Specialist performance car Shop that will Look after the servicing of my VR in ireland, prefe close to East/NE ROI. will be happy to to go north if there is somebody decent that can do a top Job. Sounds like an easy enough request, lets see.... Thanking you in advance, K-rado. :D

At a guess, i would say your car would handle like a pig in a high speed corner. I am no expert but chances are if it doesent look right, it aint! But then again I could be wrong! Sweet looking white blower all the same. and yes I do like the rims !

Are you serious about the brow spoiler? Sure am! Mind you to be fair I am less serious abt the +50mm lift  got a few things to sort out before the Bushes/rubber P6000's been fitted tomorrow. Security next on the list Then Brake overhaul ( fluid change at the very least) Service ( if i can find somebody to do a proper job) (1994 VW Corrado Vr6.......... ...... ( a What? are you sure its a VW? ...DOH! ) VW garages hese suck! The list will go on . Oh the Joys of Corrado Ownership :D With power comes responsability !
-
Love the CC grill. thinks she needs a brow spoiler :D will put it on my shopping list. With the roads here in ireland, I was thinking abt raising it a further 50mm . She sas stored indoors so the bushes / rubber are not weathered. Handling is realy crisp. I wanna keep here fairly standard me thinks but Subbtle mods is OK me thinks. Lupo wipers, new loome, clear side repeaters, GREAT BIG BLOWER  One step at a time eh blue? :D
-
What ya recon? not 2 bad for starters? Got a new set of P6000's en-route :D Old ones are shot seen as she has been standing for the best knockings of 5 1/2 years.

Donkeys years ago, I bought a brand spanking new Golf Vr6, one of the last Dragon green R reg, as I missed out on buying a new corrado. (had sold my first Vr6 Rado abt 18mts previous) I was Sooooo gutted. It was a horriable drive. IMHO. slow, sluggish and soooooo thirsty. I ave abt 24mpg with a mix of driving. The worst I have ever ave from a corrado Vr6 was 29mpg, but would typ be circa 31mpg.

I picked her up in Brecon, south of your neck of the woods. Had a cracking drive up the A470, took a wrong turn an A487 (doh!) and ended up in Aberystwyth. ( only 1 hour out of my way  ) and a mad dash then to Holyhead. 5 hours in the saddle and arrived at the port refreshed. Cracking drive, Cracking drive. :)

Hi Jim, Not looking to mod her all up or scrubbing for that matter. Just looking to improve on known short comings of all Rado's eg, Ride-height, brakes. The stereo is Neolithic, Cassettes, WHF! Anyway, just looking for advice/opinion. BTJ: I have travelled in excess of 1500miles to find one in a good a condition as this one and seen some poor examples of cars describes as "Mint". Doubt Storm with 39kmiles on the clock would be the same money. not for another 3-5 years.
-
Well its nearly been a year of corrado drought and my ship (sorta speak) has come in. After a very long hard search, I have acquired a near mint Vr6 with exactly 38837miles under her belt ( or should i say chains  ) I would say at this point that she is the best condition corrado i have ever owned, this will be my 3th. I had the pleasure, way back when, to drive a nearly new Vr but couldn’t afford one. This car is probably the closest you would find to new, anywhere. I gave her a full seats out valet today, and apart from a minor bit of delaminating of the leather on the drivers side door card (on the list to repair), the interior is to die for. She has been in storage, since 2000 and is very much a time-warp piece. The speedlines are totaly original and mint, with not as much as a scratch. The engine is silky smooth, as is the box and the handling is crisp and exactly as it should be. Body work is amazing as is the boot space and engine bay. I figure I need to spend abt £800-1000 and she will be, without a doubt, show room condition. List of things to do? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Security. Service (just in case) New boots all round. Very minor ding on the Bonnet Brake over haul ( dont they all) Door card. Valet ( done) Engine mount clean-up. ICE CD/MP3 (original Sony jobbie tape thingy in Mint condition and Perfect working order) K&N????? What ga recon??? Supersprint??????? What ya recon FK's??????? What ya recon? Coilovers?????? Although the handling is 100%, but if I were to go the 17" route, she would have to sit down and Neg camber a touch. on dial-up at the mo but will post-up some pickies as I go. Oh! Shes dragon green pearl with black leather. TTFN
