Paul, There is no-way you rag your storm unless its with a spit and a polish. I was gonna make a comment abt a toast spread but might be abit untasteful for this time of the evening  I have already put my view on the other MPG tread re: the Valver Ave 29.2 at the mo and no worries. sweet as a nut :D
  5. Lets not jump to conclusions here Bally. Mind you, you were prob right to move the car or this could have been a compleatly differ story! but knowing your car, they would have prob not got 2 far what with that steering wheel and sitting 50 odd mm off the ground, would have beeched it somewhere. :( glad it is the story it is Bally, Scum scu@ing mother Wa%*in$ barstewards that they are!
  6. Christ people, That MPG sounds bad for a valver. OK with a G60. My Vr is running sweet and recon the MFTC is spot-on. ( Ihave checked it on several occasions with fill-ups etc.) I do approx 500 mles per week and tested differnt fuel's and the best been ultimate. My trip shows on average each day at circa 30mpg. Up to 33mpg was the best but rearly below 26mpg when she is cold. Position 2 shows a healthy 29.2mpg at the mo over 1000miles. so to say your valver is thinking shes a VR6 ? tell her to get a grip of herself . and b4 you ask, I have cracking fun in the vr where I can but a very hard fast run through the stop/start MK Grid, she will still do the best knockings of 27.5mpg and a big grin on my boat-race :D
  7. Christ GIXXERUK, Surprised you could manage that at your age  or are you boys in their late 80's? Welcome aboard scarlett :D

  12. Good Choice Blue, Leon 225 are savage but not as quick as you may think against the Vr  . A well sorted Vr will leave them for dust. but then again a well sorted Cupra (might) shame the Corrado. We will put that one down to a lucky stripe
  13. Spot on Steve, Tks 4 the correction Jim  Mercy bow cups. he he he he
  14. Nicely put Stevemac, stand up and be counted. Not shy of a little hard graft myself and will be there no-worries. Agee that the VWCCGB must continue but I guess the loyal long serving members who are feeling hard done by are not getting value for money and would like change, pronto. Some people are the way they are, "se la ville"
  15. Sort out that minor ding to the NSF wing/bonnet Have a look at the secondary water pumt the VW say is seeping 2 new front wiper blades 2 new front tyres (dont ask, Has just eat another set of boots) Replace bulb to odometer and rear screen heater bulb new drivers side window, (has anybody got one? Pls old one is badly scratched) and that is about it. She will then be near purrrfect. oh and tax. Then she will be going out to grass after the VWCCG AGM with around 56.5k and near as mint as you will get for a 10yr old corrado VR6 Storm. :D Oh and then, Find myself another one. prob a valver to do-up and have w/e fun
  16. Pilots all round on me 2. you get a little extra tread over the p6000 but a little less grippie. Prob is the VR is very heavey front end I think and there is alot of torqe going to the front wheels that also do your steering. so far (imho) I think its luck of the draw. pot luck if you like as to whats good and whats pants. seems to differ from differnt batches. so good luck. In the words of the committments "pick a nipple and blow" :D
  17. I Think they came with Pe willies P6000 when new but this was prob a dealer choice? for what its worth I think the suck. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... cial+p6000 Were lots of suggestions in here :D
  18. No expert but I believe if you remove the 2 pinch bolts that hold the suspen strut you bugger up the camber. That requires speciallst re-setting tools from VW (Circa 100 of your good ole english pounds) or some specialist outlets have this capability. could be the prob? :D
  19. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... rear+break
  20. For what its worth, there was a tread on here some while back.. stand by.......................................
  21. Hello Blue! 92 Rado without elece roof or windows? odd that. Accepted with the power roof, no bad thing from what I hear, but do you mean you have elece windows but do not work? or was this car reg new in Ireland and thought they could do without the push button stuff? I know very very early rados did not have elece windows or roof but did not think they did it is late in 92. Was it prehaps manufactured in 88/89 and not reg or re-reg in 92? I think the 1.8 16v was discontinued in 91-92 and replaced in 92 with the new shape 2l 16 Top colour BTW
