J reg, Turq blue/green today on the A422 at circa 3pm heading twrds Stoney Strattford. any takers :D -
I drive thru Mk Mind u useually arack of dawn till dusk :D Are U comming to the next Meet MK II Eric?
-
Sorry Biggrin, but what do you drive? The VR is savage in thoes situations as I have been caught out on a number of occasions. (Burrrrp!) Prob seems to be the front end when you go into the cornor at speed and lift off. The other day, (road must have been gressey) I went into cornor at a tad under 80 (way too fast) but you can do this cornor in a normal car at 60ish. Lifted off and had to apply megga loads of opp lock. In my old VR in a similar incident going down hill into a number of S's I was afraid to hit the breaks, cos if I did, I would have been stuffed. Had to ride the moment :D from that moment I always keep the boot loaded :) seems to give a little better balance but in an ideal world, I would drop the storm be 40-50mm as she looks abit like an audi A4 Allroad.

Sorry to hear that Bally. its No fun getting stranded at any time of the day or night. Has only happened to me X2 and what a nightmare and both occasians were in a company Ford. Needless to say what I think of them
-
Sounds to me like a classic fuel prob. It has happened to my old C and my current C after i filled up with standard unleaded. If the vag-com is showing no faults, then the sencors should be working fine. the sencors read the fuel mix and adjusts the ecu every now and again, causing it ti cut-out. re-set the ecu, and run a couple of tanks of Super. the VR seems to prefer 98RON (not optimax). Sorted mine out a treat and no probs for the past 6kmls. good luck
-
Mint (near as you will prob get) Storm going out to grass very shortly. they wont come much better than this  Will ge offered for sale to the CF only for a very short time, so watch this space :)

-
NOW you tell me  What have I done. Mind you, if they do cock it up will have a large company to kick around and Oh? the Manager is a Big Fan of the Corrado, so his ja-cups will be in the vice  You near MK then?
-
I know of 1 in a museum in Germany. That is a Storm Blue 1 I think. Hmmmmm Wonder if they would be open to offers. Mind you the engine would need a good run
-
just down the road eh? you will find MK very welcoming. kieran.

Hard to say, not having studdied the glutismaximus of Badger :D but I would say there are the good the bad and the ugly. at a guess, I would suppose that the vast majority would be around good to fair given the fact that most have coppind-on that the Corrado is a timeless classic and well sought after. Guess 65%. Very good to good condition low milers at a guess 20% and fair to rough at a guess 15%, Low I know but these are the next crop for the strippers

:? I have decided to have my Storm serviced (a 60k mls) and desided to shop around. My local VW independant specialist = £194.50 +vat (DS Motors) Wayside VW Towcester = £235 incl Wayside VW Milton Key = £174 incl needless to say I will be of to MK on Tuesday morning for the full works and the use of a car for the day. Not bad eh? oh and while i was at it. Wayside VW Towcester wanted £280 incl odd for replacement of NSF Outer CV joint replacement. I Talked to Darren of DS Motors who will fit my GSF CV and Boot kit that i got for around £41 for £70+vat and will sort out the tracking and camber if needed for around £80 +vat. He is also doing my break fluid change for £30+vat as opposed to VW all in £57.50. and the morel of the story is shop around. you may find your local Stealer to be cheaper than your local greese monkey. now I know some of you may get your service cheaper but is it a 10k 20k 40k or 60k jobbie and does it have that all important stamp? I would be interested to know what it costs. I feel happy that i saved around £100 to £250 just by shopping around

Meet MK II. 8) But then again I would say that. You will be more than welcome and there will be plently to get your head around from Bally's low rider, Roby's V tasteful Valver to Licklepaulies looney VR. or if your are really stuck, you can compare the before and after with my very origional Storm.
-
I would go with that Dom. Only Jims G60 knows the reason I asked the question in the first place but goes along the line of "supply and demand" I remember around abt 97/98 when there were a hand full of storms on Stealers forecourts that were ex company high milers. so by my reckoning there can't be much more than 250 Storms left and at another guess I would say there are less than half again below 100k mls. so the big question would be, would you all say the following would generally be true? 250 Storm's 1600 Vr6 1750 1.8 Valvers and G 60's 900 2.0ltr Valver's
-
easy 5 but yet to be confirmed

“Often has a man chosen a stick to beat himself” They do say the best critic is yourself ya prick  Hmmmmmmm? Whos been a naughty boy then?  pistt pistt

Before ya all have a go at me, I have done a search to no avail :-P There was a storm up for £620 odd Cat B the other day on the net and there are countless others been broke for spares every month. Just wondering, out of the 9000 odd rados imported into the uk how many d'ya recon are left? Lets start with the easy one. 500 Storm's 3200 Vr6 3500 1.8 Valvers and G 60's 1800 2.0ltr Valver's Hmmmmmmm?
-
thought that might get on your goat Bally. Mind you, Eric (Tempest) has got a sorta "Vigilante Chav"protestors group going. Think it is a love/hate relationship :D :D :D
