    Rob's 16V

I had loads of plans for it, but being a student i cant really afford to do it up much. However - wheels are next on the list, probably 16s. Then its a service at stealth and hopefully a respray with a few bits colour coded/smoothed (same colour). Few other bits like exhaust and keeping it going well Just wanna get it mint and looking nice. One day :) With 17s, it was lowered 50mm at front and 55-60mm on back. When i first got the suspension i had it lowered about 70mm on 17s. Didn't last long like that tho, scrubbed like a c**t at the front. Looked soooo phat though 8)

    Rob's 16V

These pics were taken ages ago and i used a scanner to get them on the computer. Their a bit crap - the cars too far away in the pics. I'll be taking some more when i get some new wheels :D heres a couple more... front rear and when i had 17s - why did i sell those wheels :?: 17s - not lowered 17s - lowered

  7. you will have to change the 90mm spoiler for the smaller 50mm one if thats what you got! Mines lowered 60mm ish and i really should change it but it looks cool and takes some punishment 8)

    GUS G60

Very nice mate 8) Those wheels definitly make the car, sits perfectly too What size are the wheels and tyres etc, and offsets??
  10. Me and my dad did mine. First one at the front we followed the haynes manual which said to drop the balljoint, antiroll bar - the whole hub basically! What a load of b****x! Took us ages and than the antiroll bar link sheared off :x Had to drive around for 2 days with my nice new suspension but going round 50mph corners at 5mph until i could could get my new linkage The next one we just undone the top and bottom of the strut and was pretty simple in the end. Rears were so easy! Didnt ave any trouble getting the rear bolts undone. I would say job done in 4 hours too :) (although took me a lot longer, always does
  11. Ive got fk konigsports and my rides pretty good considering its lowered 60mm ish. The ride was much better when set on higher level though. Overall, i think the FKs are ace :D
  12. Cheers for reply matey :) DPS=diaghram pressure switch, just me being lazy! Yeah it splutters and and is really lumpy/unsmoothe. Doesn't ever fell like its going to stall and i have no problems starting the car. It takes about 10-15mins for it to sort itself properly
  13. Anyone?? At least some ideas on my cold running problem
  14. 2 probems (1.8 16V) - 1) My car was running bad - when revving quite hard and then slowing down the car would hesitate and run very rough. At standstill, i hold the revs at say 2500 rpm and the revs would go up and down by itself. Give it another bit of a rev and it eventually sorted itselfout. I noticed an elbow pipe was split, the one which goes on the diaghram pressure switch. Before i renewed it i tried running it with the pipe off and it runs fine :? Ive been running it like that for a while now,but the pipe is a bit dirty with muck inside so dont think its right. Looked in the haynes, did the test on the DPS and the overrun cut off and both seem fine 2) My car also runs like complete crap when cold. Takes ages for revs to catch up with your foot and runs very rough. She used to run like a dream even when cold :( Been told it could be leads or similar, rotor arm and dizzy look ok, plugs fairly new and look good. Hope this problem is connected with the first Anyone got any ideas, my cars doing my head in! Cheers, Rob

    ET 13 wheels

Regarding lowvento's wheels for sale in the classifieds. They're 7x15 with an offset of et13. Do you think they will fit ok with no arch mods on a lowered c. Might put a fair bit of strain the on CV joints tho me thinks. Also have G60 brakes so dont know if they'd fit over them?
  16. Doh..just noticed the prices dont include VAT :x I hate it when that happens
  17. http://www.raceandroad.com/SelectedOneP ... 01&CatID=1 I think there phat but dunno if i can picture em on the c? Id be getting 16s I know some of you will say go for the Azev A but i've never seen these Azev Ks on a car before and think there a bit different

    lightweight 17s?

yep, mines 4 stud. What do you think 16" superTs would look like with roughly 60mm drop?
  21. [web]http://www.braid.es/braidwheels/tuning/t298.htm[/web] slightly OTT
  22. Come to think of it, there was a small dent on the backbox where it coul be banging. Didn't think it would be this as when it clunks im only going 5 mph or so so didnt think it would be enough force to move it that much. Anyway, i'll sort the rubbers out and hopefully that will be it. Cheers for help guys :D
  23. I havn't got a digital camera but i'll try and borrow one Got to order some wheels this week, its taken too long  Just dont know what ones to get though :? Anythings better than my standard ones with their flaking paint centre caps! And no, i dont wanna sell my coilys. I love them almost as much as i love the car
  24. Very reguarly when breaking at manouvering speeds i get a loud clunk from the n/s rear. Ive had a quick look withe the wheel off and cant see anything wrong with the brakes. Rear bushes are worn and crumbling though, could this cause clunking? Ive got some new ones to go on anyway, its just getting some lucky soul to fit them :)
  25. Blimey, you've already done more mods than me Bally and ive had my car over a year :D I better get cracking
