  2. There gonna have to come off soon :( Driving last night i heard the sound of salt flicking up at my car. When i got home i rinsed the wheels with a hose right away - so paranoid of mucking my lurvly new rims up  Want to find some cheap 17s for winter Your cars nice bally, reckon it'd look sweet with your wheels proper polished up :)

  10. cheers for info so a late mk2 boss wont fit a 91' corrado??
  11. Is the Mk2 steering wheel boss the same as a corrado one? (when you change for a sports steering wheel)
  12. I was looking for a first car and went to look at a nova 1.4 sr with my dad! It was at night in the dark and the car was wet, hence looked mint. Very nearly parted with my hard earned but my dad stopped me (thankyou dad  ). My dad went to have have a second look in the light the next day and to my dissapointment (i was young and confused  ) my dad could put his finger through the boot and there was rust around the window sills - didn't buy it! About 4 days later i bought a golf mk2 1.3 which i still miss! Not fast but a lot classier and had better build quality than the nova! Lesson learnt - dont go to see/buy a car in the dark or in the rain (and dont buy a nova, obviously  )
  13. Alex - that sounds an exceptionly good price for a bare metal respray. Did you get a special price? I take it you know there works good, any chance of their contact details? :D

    electrical problems

Got it sorted :D Took the stereo out and the insulation tape had come off the 'power antenna' wire which is not in use. Taped it back up and tidied everything else, put new fuse in no4 and everything worked :) Weird thing is that the stereo didn't work without no4 fuse in even though the stereo doesn't run off that fuse :? Cheers for all your help
  15. I dont know exactly what happened as when i spoke to him he hadnt had a look and was gonna take it into work to have a look. Just imagine that the obvious fault was a burst flexi, brake fluid had come from the n/s/f wheel He's usually really good at maintenence on his car(he's a ford technician) but he's at the stage when he's bored with the car and is planning on selling it - cant really be bothered. He usually washes it every 2-3 days but it aint been washed for 3 weeks. Makes you think though. Luckily he was only going 20mph or so, any faster and it could of been very scary
  16. On saturday my mate was just leaving his road near is house and had to giveway to another car as there were cars parked on his side. He braked but the pedal went right to the floor and nothing  Went in to the side of a parked car but luckily missed the oncoming car. He was very lucky as the other car was hardly damaged (owner said dont worry about it) and his car just hopefully needs a new wing, side repeater and some paint etc. He got out and there was brake fluid everywhere including all the way from his house. Stupid thing was that he serviced it himself that morning but could only be bothered to do a oil/filter change. I think he's learnt his lesson :)

    electrical problems

Cheers guys :) I checked no4 fuse by putting another fuse that does the front wipers. It blew the fuse! Got some new fuses (driving to halfords with no front wipers in drizzly rain  ) and tried one in no4 again. Didnt blow, but didnt solve it. I reckon may be something to do with the stereo as i had it out the other week and i couldn't get the thing back in properly - it wouldnt click into the stereo cage. Had to push it in really hard so could of disturbed something.
  18. Went to drive home earlier and my rear wiper had stopped working. Then i realised the stereo and the sunroof have also given up  Dunno about anything else Dont think this is just a coincidence that they all happened at once. Could it be a relay/fuse that controls all these features any ideas ta
