i have an issue with my spoiler, it started to go up in little bits, and now it doesnt move at all, even when trying to use the switch. i can move the motor by hand and its not stiff or anything. when the switch is pressed there is no noise or anything from the motor itself. i have checked fuse 16 and 21 and thier not gone. any other ideas what i should do?

wondering if you can help me, its regarding an avital 2100 alarm. when i was working under my dash there was a wire that had broken off a relay dangling in front of the fuse box, it was this relay the spade on the actual relay has sheard off, its the connector on the right of that picture under the 30. the only thing i can tell it has changed is that the car now locks itself about 5 seconds after i start the car. it didnt before. i have found the manual online, http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/ ... nstall.pdf and its the relay on page 5, and also shows few other times within the manual. What id like to ask if that if anyone who can read these diagrams can have a look for me and see what it means. Does it mean that without that wire connected, the doors will lock after starting the car, and with it connected they wont lock? I dont really understand it. i can get another relay no problem, i was wondering what that wire actually did? and if my car is sercure without it connected? Thanks if you can help. Neil

i brought the loom and relays for £80 off here and the switch for £20, so there you go, the £100 mark again!

I get this, does it mean my injectors need changing at all? i get this too when changing gear or overrun, but on over run it does give a nice gurgling kinda sound!
-
yeah i realise that but trying to minimise the amount of crap i have coming out of my exhaust on over run! its rediculous!

I have a road on the way to work which is about 2-3 miles long and its 40 - 30 all the way along, its slightly down hill. when i stick my vr6 in 5th or 4th and coast down it and then put my foot on the gas a nice huge cloud of blue smoke (oil) comes out of my exhaust. I know is prob due to valve stem seals or piston rings. I have no money to get this fixed at all and was wondering that if when i get to the top of the hill and start to go down, if i put my vr6 into netural and coast down it with the engine just idling, and then going into gear if i come to a red light or need to speed up, will this do any harm to my engine? my engine does not smoke when starting up or driving, just on over run and then opening the throttle. any thoughts appreciated. neil

Being a bit rough on those change of indications Neil? [/quote:32or79ya] lol yeah i must be, i just cant work it out! you wouldnt believe how much having to hold your indicator down whilst turning makes the enjoyment of driving a corrado a missiry!

replaced indicator stalk and wonder why i have gone through 4 in 2 years?

i have recently had the same problems you describe minus the reversing bit... (my post viewtopic.php?f=1&t=84090 ) randomly when i accelerated the engine would splutter and cut out, then maybe suddenly cut back in, the die, so i'd pull over and turn off and on the ignition again and it would start fine. i noticed that i had a fraid / split hose... so cut it down a bit and put it back on. (ive now cable-tied it on from someones recomendation) ive not had a probs since, (touch wood) but i have brought a fuel filter to put on which ive not done yet to see if that solves the problem. any idea what would happen if air did get let in?
-
atempted oil change, fule filter change and spark plugs change. coudnt get fuel filter done, jubilee clips were rusted solid. That will cost me a nice £20 at a garage to get done! also wragged my splitter off trying to get onto my ramps on drive, now i'm minus a splitter, but no more scraping 8)

if that pipe was split, could that be causing my car to cut out and die, then suddenly kick back in when accelerating, kinda like the engine is starved of fuel? grrr i dont know the length, thrown the cut piece away, and it seems to be covered in fabric, and fraid at edges, not like its been perfectly cut? does anyone else have a pic of theirs please?
-
can anyone tell me what my spark plugs tell me? As you can see there is a fail bit of oil on the actually top part of the plug on the middle and bottom right plug shafts in the inlet manifold.. bottom left cylinder Middle bottom Bottom right top left middle top top right

the pipe was fraid and broke on the clip futhest away, i have cut it shorter and put two new clips on. What does it do and would a broken pipe affect the performance of the car? I'm currently having sudden engine cut out issues whilst accelerating in 2nd every now and again.
