vr6 plug lead removal tools for sale (metal type)
-Neil- replied to zerocool's topic in Suppliers Forum
can i have one please? Need one asap. PM sent. -
i have alot of blue smoke on over-run and going down hill, i know this to be my valve stem seals, but when i accelerate after coasting i struggle with power and the engine splutters a little then chucks out the blue smoke(oil) and is fine, could my plugs be coated with oil and need a clean, until i can afford a head rebuild, or should i look at something else? I had someone at work see me in my car and came over and said 'you look like knightrider in that car!' lol
-
from what the garage told me, on the presure regulator they have steel bolts in an alloy block so they rust in there.
-
well mine needs replacing anyway and i have heard stories of them having to be cut away to be replaced, so made sense to get bushes done at same time.
-
i agree with this, will help you alot if any futher problems acure!

i had the same dilemma, i printed off a dash in guide to try and do this but it was such a pain in the bottom i ended up removing the dash, not as hard as it seems. just time consuming, but i also fitted heated seats so i ran the wiring up and over the dash original vw style.

My gf keeps seeing a blackberry corrado driving around sheffield, meadowhall, snake pass and around fullwood areas. anyone on here?
-
brilliant thanks, i have ordered the VW ones. My car failed its MOT on the alloy brake line box thing on the rear beam so getting the garage to do the bushes aswell.
-
whats this rear steer your on about? I have decided to get OEM ones from VW after reading alot of reviews from ppl on here.
-
I need new rear beam bushes and heard of powerflex, are these the best ones to get and if so where from and how much? ive been on awesome gti and found these two.. - Rear Beam Mounting Bush VR6 PFR85-206 x2 (+£39.52) - Rear Beam Mounting Bush PFR85-207 x2 (+£39.52) not sure what the difference is tho? any help is greatly wanted please! neil

Once I had reassembled everything, I filled mine via the header tank, untill it was full, then ran the engine with the cap off, and every time the level dropped, topped it up, untill it stopped dropping. Then I ran the car as usual, but keeping an eye on the coolent level. It only needed a tiny bit extra, after being used. This is the way I have always re-filled coolent to a fulkly drained engine, and I have never had any airlock issues. Obviously make sure the engine is cold when topping up with cold water to save risking damage, by the sudden cooling the cold water would cause. Also it saves trying to safely remove the cap from a pressurised system. i second this.

there is a guide somewhere, cant rmember where, i tried it, but it was easier to take the dash out.

let me know if you get it working pal.

Ive installed ' Release 311.2 Posted 16. November 2003 For ISO-COM and most Third-Party interfaces' as i have a 3rd part X-One lead which i know works as i have got it off a mate who has done my car before with it. i plug the 9 pin serial lead into the back of this laptop but it just wont pick the lead up when i run the rosstech test, i click test and it says:- Com Port status: OK Interface Status: 3 - not found or not ready! it does this on com port 1 and 3 when i test it. ive gone into device manager on the laptop and under the heading Ports (COM & LPT) it only shows Com port 1. what do i do, help!

how on earth did you get your car through that tiny door!

thank you for youur reply, i had a look today for the sensors and see that it will not be a easy job to do, i hope to god it is not them that need replacing. i drove today to work this morning and drove very gently and no hard acceleration. i did not encounter any problems. i have just cleaned the ISV, MFA and throttle. i did disconnect the wire on the front of the engine on the right just under where the HT leads clip into that plastic runner bit. The engine died a tiny bit then ran like normal, then i kept connecting it and disconnecting it the only change was the sound of the engine, i can only discribe it as the air inside the enigne got quieter when i disconnected. is this wire the Temp sensor people are on about? it wasnt blue, it was black.

thanks for the quick reply, are they easy to replace, and how do i go about this? and any idea how much they are?
