  1. cool, cheers kev Might try and give this a go...
  2. Smoke and mirrors!!!! Ah ok so you have to put thin lines of black on the inside of the glass? Am i getting warm?? cheers
  3. Cheers dazzy Sorry didnt explain it very well, the door opens fine once its engaged the latch thingy(rob tech term! ). But it takes quite a few pulls for the handle to engage the mechanism which allows the door to open. And I have to have the handle pulled right out for it to release the door!
  4. Can you get some for the back? Ive seen some corrado's on here who have all dark red rear lights, does anyone know how they got this effect?
  5. The drivers side door handle hasnt broken yet, but it takes me a good 5-6 tugs of the handle for it to open and its getting worse! Is this a case of buying a new handle or do you think I can repair it? Ive searched the database but couldnt find anything on this particular subject! cheers
  6. car looks great, what have you lowered it on?
  7. Yep I saw it, and fell in love with that RS4. What a beast! £50,000 though!!!
  8. lol...At least you come out with a nice tan! :D
  9. Ronan, mate my board is so old it doesnt need a cover! If I had some new kit then I would use one, but unfortuantly the corrado seems to soak up all my new kit funds!
  10. do you think this would effect the aerodynamics? :)
  11. Not sure if anyone has suggested this before, but thought I would post a few pics of an alternative to using the thule roofrack. I didnt like the thule system as it took ages to put on so I bought this kit from: http://www.handirackuk.com/ Its designed for a 4 door car but if you rap the rear around the boot and then pump it up, it works fine. It only takes about 10mins to put on, and is very secure! I have driven down to Devon and back to Brighton with 4 boards on top, without loosing one! The only thing which I realised was that if the slightest bit of grit or sand gets between the inflatable bars and the paint work its goodbye paint work! So I stuck a bit of non slip material between the surfaces and this seems to have done the trick! You also have to be slightly careful with your speed, anything over 90 and the thing wants to take off!!! Hope this is off use to someone.
  12. How do u go about changing the beam angle?
  13. It did make the beam pattern slightly better. With the on/off full beam problem, that seemed to sort itself out after I had changed the glass! Must of been a loose connection. Cheers for the advice gavin.
  14. Dan I bought the lens from VW, it cost £31.37 incl VAT. I fitted it on sat, and was surprisingly easy to do. I think a new rubber seal is a good idea, but my clips were in ok condition. Good luck.
  15. Dan I hope so, ive ordered a replacement glass for my passenger side headlight. Should be here today and will try and replace it this weekend. This link shows you how to do it. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=9
  16. dan I have the same part no. on mine, and that also nearly failed the MOT. Ive just been to VW and the part no. for the complete light unit is 536-941-018A, the part number for the glass is 536-941-115A. Im guessing the lights we have are not made by VW! Hence are not very good! Im in talks with my insurance company, as they replaced the complete light unit for this inferior part. I want a genuine VW part. But as we all know insurance companies dont like paying out!
  17. Checked the bulb and seems to be fitted ok. So will buy a new one and see if that works. Thanks for the all the advice :D
  18. I think your right gixxer, will have a look tonight. thanx for the help chaps :salute:
  19. Shows how much I know about cars! Both the arrows do point to the left when I sit in the car, so I guess thats correct!
  20. cheers gavin, will check that tonight.
  21. As you look at the car, the one on the left is the new light. part no. 001-141096-01 The light on the right is part no. 001-141095-01 I dont see how they could mix them up though. Looking at the images below the ribbed parts seem to be in the wrong place! In other words they are not a mirror off the right hand light!
