Yes indeed! Waz e-mailed Friday night, so me and G/friend travelled up to S/Dynamix (from Swansea!) and had them fitted on the Sat - didn't want hassle of fitting them myself (with the grinding etc). Waz sorted in an hour - they seem to know their stuff! Down side, it cost me approx £50 - £60 in fuel to do round trip - 370miles approx. Will post pics here soon!

As im a beginer with Corrado audio, which is the best way to upgrade the speaker set-up in the car without spending too much. Im a big Dynaudio fan with domestic hi-fi - I know they also do car audio - buy prob expensive? As previously stated, i should start with the door pocket speakers and dash tweeters? What about rear speakers? Do i really need to go for amps aswell?

Anybody know who does the best aftermarket parcel shelves for my VR6, with a view to fitting some good quality 6x9's speakers! While i'm at it, anyone suggest a top set of 6x9's and where can i get them from?

Anybody know where i can get an original black parcel shelf for my 94 VR6? Mine is Knacked!

Thats right mate, 205's all around! Think the handling will be affected to a degree - but hey, its a road car , a daily driver - If i were entering competitions etc i'd have crappy looking 15's on it with standard ride height as VW intended etc etc. I'd rather pay more attention to the looks of the car knowing the handling is not going tobe tremendously affected. Think of the various people with C's that fit 9x16' ET15 to the rears of they're cars - yeh handling is affected but their cars look superb - if u like that sort of thing!

Hi again mate, I actually ordered the wheels in ET32 for front and ET27 for the rear - but theres a slight risk that the rears will rub slightly due to them sticking out 5mm more than the fronts - i did this for look purposes only! Chrishill went for the ET32's which is probably the safest and more sensible option! Style Dynamix offered a good price but try DT Motorsport(Essex?) on 01708 630528 - you'll be pleasantly surprised at price with TOYO's :D . I played the both against each other

These are the wheels I've ordered - albeit 4 weeks ago :( . Think u find they come in 32 or 27mm ET(8 x 17). Before ordering i found out that the front caliper carrier might need slightly reducing (3mm) at a point! The rears should fit with minimal fuss. Think the wheels look great! Chrishill has these on his car - members gallery!

Gee, thats ugly for such a superb motor! MK.4 any day!!!!

Just a little diversion in topic , - this annoying git in work is always going on about his Cavaliar SRi (Redtop 16v-2L) will tune my 1994 VR raddo. Being a more mature C owner, i dont get too wound up about this and tend to ignore the tw-t. Ive heared these engines are good (Cosworth?) but how would it fair against my VR?

Want my screen replaced due to bad stonechips and a small crack on the lower part of the screen - would i need to make the crack bigger to claim on insurance or is it my choice if i want a replacement? Only £50 excess and no damage to NCD!

Just ordered my GB Euro plates :D

As for susp. (non coilover) go with Koni TA's & H&R sport springs 8)

Cheers Chris for some usefil advice!

I get u point Chris. The staggered look will be very suttle - there's only 5mm in it! I just feel the slightly wider arse is better on motors - not so for birds :) The line i wanted for the wheel was just in line - or slightly past the arch with the 205 tyre allowing arch clearance with the stretch. Its borderline i know but should just go! How much did u pay to have your arches rolled? There will be a slight "euro" look but nothing like the mad (but cool!) 16x9 ET15 setup! The one thing i hate on rado's is wheels that are burried in the arch - i suppose VW intended for handling etc. - the car has a great muscular appearance and these high ET wheels just dont suit in my book! Yours look great but because these a "slightly" lower ET available.....well why not!
-
Thats right Chris, the staggered look! Theres only 5mm in the 2 ET's but i reckon it'll look better than having the front and back the same ET - thats if it does'nt catch the arch! The thing in my favour is that i've only a 30mm drop(Koni/H&R). Been considering what many people do with the 16' wheels which sometimes are 9' wide and running ET15! They stick right out albeit in 16' form. My worst fear is to order the wheels and find they rub and look sh-t. Some quick calculations say to me they will probably go - but its a risk. The other option (wiser!) would be to get same ET and run a small spacer - but l wanted to aviod spacers! Taking some of A20LEE's early postings (members galeries) - I'm sure he ran 8.5x17 ET32 with a 205 rubber with initially standard arches without rear rubbing. The lower ET (27) BUT narrower rim (8') would make my setup very similar! Thoughts please...
-
Do u think i'd get them on the rear with ET27 (they come in ET32/27) - my cars only dropped 30mm on Koni-H&R's. My thoughts are on the whether they will rub the arch? Note my cars a 1994 model - slightly wider arches i think?
-
Cheers for the pics bud!
-
Cheers mate! I've a Blackberry VR on Konis/H&R springs which only drops the car 30mm - but it still looks OK! I think i'd be better off with 17' to fill the gap in the arch better than my current 16'. I really like these RH's - your car looks stunning! - think they're look great on mine aswell! It was out of these or multi- spokes( Keskin KT-4's or similar ).
