The old wheels looked alright, but these Rx's look much better! :)
  7. It is very good but it doesnt last long so you need to keep re applying. You will find that clean glass actualy offers really good protection from the rain so there is not much need for rain x. By clean I mean washed and then claybar'd. I find the only glass you need protection that rain x offers is on the front windscreen, I use the some screenwash that aldi sell for 89p, it concentrates 1:100 so the 250ml bottle goes a long way. It clears the screen perfectly but the best thing is it leaves protection on the screen, so offers instant beading when you use it. Perfect really as thats when you most need it.

  11. If you have megs 80 and 83 or menzerna IP 3.01/2 and FF PO85RD you can use these rather than buying a plastic specific polish which you will use no more than a couple of times.

  15. you apply the wax, let it cure for about 10-15mins, and then buff it off. You then wait 24hours to apply another coat, this is to stop the shadowing effect from the wax. the car doesn't have to be indoors, you can leave it outside for 24hrs and provided it hasn't rained and theres only dust on the car you can give the car a once over with quick detailer and then apply another layer of wax. leaving the wax on the car for 24hrs is a bad idea as you will find it very hard to buff off, and also you'll be rubbing in anything that has settled onto the wax into the paint which can inflict scratches. I've always had this school of thought, and its only now the message is coming out on the detailing forums, that is you achieve a much better finish making sure the paint is thoroughly prepared prior to the wax. So make sure you improve the finish of the paint the best you can before you apply the wax, through polishing. In fact, does anyone want to guess how much the wax applied to this car below cost?
  16. if its seen paint, chances are when removing the side stripes the surrounding paint could crack. Also it wont be possible to blend the original paint underneath with the new paint, the line will still be visible, and there is also the possibility of a color mis match. Really you would have to get the lower sides resprayed if you remove them, personally I would keep the bump strips on as you are prone to more parking dents when removed.
  17. rs will look amazing on a classic green, heres one from my archives:
