    either get a car battery charger and just connect the terminals up to the plug on the window motor or run some wire from your battery to the same plug its at the front of the door and is a simple 2 pin plug you reverse the polarity to make the window go up or window go down just trial and error it mate you wont kill anything just dont leave it attached if the motor isnt moving.

    no its a different kettle of fish i miss the brutal power of my lysholm but its fun hustling along not slowing down for corners.

    if it just clicks the regulator is probably knackered you could take your door card off and connet the motor up to 12v and see if it goes up or down. if it does them maybe the window ecu behind the rear offside door card.

    was in manchester and brum before that. like a bloody dream mate, most of the fuel systems new and now the cooling is overhauled too. she really flies just gotta sort the handling out now not that its shoddy as standard! yeah people love the plate :lol: me neither mate gonna look seriously phat in an oem + kinda way!!

    Ive had my new mk1 for a few weeks now and just thought id share how much i love it! Ive done a few easy jobs fuel pump, ign module and new radiator and metal coolant pipe. shes running sweet as a nut! just completed 1200 trouble free miles and ive driven her every day since i bought her! I plan a few subtle mods just to personalise her nothing irreversible just oem+ type mods ill post some pics when the makeover is complete heres one from the for sale thread that made me fall in love!!

    bloody hell guys i WAS looking forward to getting mine back from the paint shop!! sell them guys get a mk1 golf! every job ive done on mine has gone exactly to plan and taken half the time i expected ahh simple mechanics ya can't beat it!!

    id check the coil if is it intermitent then it might just working when you checked it lob another on see if it has any effect ady must have one?

    sams uses one they are common in motorsport too so must have some use in cooling inlet temps.

    thats crazy! why would anyone go to that effort, but then i guess it was prob done 15 years ago when a rado was still worth 15k so worth the effort still mad though!!

    i got a hose filler from summit racing in the states but i think you can get them from demon tweaks now have a search around for hose filler mate.

    yes the fogs and indicators fit an early bumper mate you just pull the plastic piece out of the apature.

    corrado is still being painted so no news on that front. but my beautiful new mk1 received a new fuel pump which cured its hot start problem. the previous owner tried everything to sort it out if only he had searched the mk1 forum! dont ya just love forums sometimes!!

    sound like a prob i had on the mk1 that was the non return valve on the front of the fuel pump.

    fk make 15mm adapters with tuv approval. always buy the thickest as its so cheap to have them machined down to fit correctly.
