Overtook grey g60 approaching the roundabout before the Tamar bridge heading towards Plymouth. Looked in really good nick. Was rushing back to Plym after a wet, cold surfless camping trip to Sennen :(

Key ring is good but people at work think I am sad enough with my schabak mobel on top of my monitor. Can't begin to imagine the grief I would get if I turned up to work with a corrado belt buckle, tie pin and lighter

Hi, Reckon a repaint woul dcost around £650ish

Thanks to all for advice. To date everything is ok on the pin front but I have been checking regularly as it is so potentially dangerous. I wonder if it could have occurred because when I get out of my c I pull myself up using the steering wheel (seat is in lowest position). Will give the superglue suggestion a go and stop putting weight onto the steering column. Especially after finding out the cost of a replacement  .

Hi I think it was the Blaupunkt Montreux RDR 49. Pic below I still have mine but replaced it with a more modern unit. I wish I could have kept it in to stay totally standard but needed CD player. I assume it is the original as the car only had one owner, was totally standard, came with the original first aid kit and had this stereo in. There is also a sticker on the back of the stereo with a 1987 date on so that would be about the right date. Not sure where to get one though other than maybe trying the specialist scrappies in the back of VW Motoring.

Thanks Going to walk to the nearest garage to get some oil now. Shame they don't sell bosch oil filters and a set of plugs, could have done the job properly then :(
-
Any help appreiated. To cut a long story short I needed to drain some oil off this afternoon as my oil level was over the max indicator. Unfortunately when I tried to drain some off the oil was still too hot and I dropped the sump nut into the tray! So now I am completing an oil change. Does anyone know what the oil capacity is so I don't over fill again? Ta

If you do go for the blue pearl don't forget to get the bonnet done  Personally I would keep the original paint (or repaint in original colour) as getting the respray will cost and probably not add much value to the car. Then again if it is what you want to do, go for it! although I don't like the black bonnet much) Any pics of your rado?

I woke up one Saturday morning in Plymouth to find someone had picked up three large peices of concrete and slammed it through the rear windows of four cars outside my house! luckily mine was 5th and they ran out of concrete! Police came round last night (two weeks later) to investigate. Genious

Thanks. Yep three bolts but they had all rusted through so had to hacksaw them all off. Couldn't get to the bolt without sawing the plastic surrounding the bolt. If the only real concern is the sound proofing foam then won't bother replacing the cover. Am a little anxious about the fan as the last time I had one go it caused the head gasket to go! which set me back £350!!! cheers

Hi! any advice appreciated Had day off today and because coolant fan was making funny noise decided to replace it. It had obviously not been done for a while cos the bolts in the plastic cover above the fan and rediator had badly rusted. Replaced fan but had to cut through the cover bolts with hacksaw to get access to fan. Now cannot get the cover back on. Do I really need to get another? or can I do without one? :?:

28 which is a great age cos its when I got my first Corrado 8) 27 was a good year too as had black mk2 gti 8v which I would have loved to have kept. 17 was 1.6 pug 205 gti fantastic car! and another at 26. Loads of other cars including a brief affair with a Fiat x19  -
Just wondered if the following has happened to anyone else? Drove into town yesterday, car drove fine, got into multistorey and was slowly reversing (about 3mph) into a space when the adjustment in the steering went completely loose!!! basically it wouldn't lock at all. Car still steered but felt very unsafe. Managed to get the steering column cover off and noticed that the metal pin that holds the colum into place had completely popped out. Managed to push it back in and all back to normal now. Just glad it didn't happen at a lot higher speed on a country lane.

Thanks. Learn something new every day. Will have to try and get some. Agree that the c looks better without but hate the thought of more chips! Would be good if they were magnetic then could be removed/replaced easily
-
Recckon I would put them on. Wish I had side strips but I don't think they came on the 1990 16v? Since my respray I have had two big chips in the door :( both in wrk car parks too!

quality! there is something so good about BBS

I was going to go for a powerflow but went for longlife instead cos apparently they use higher grade steel. I am about to take car back for the third time  1st trip joining compound split in join from the downpipe. 2nd trip very loud vibrating noise (happened 10 mins after leaving from first trip) 3rd trip is because the back now knocks whenever I go over a bump! Given the choice again I would go with magnex or one of the others mentioned.

Driving back from Ipswich to Plymouth saw red corrado on opposite side of road - didn't see until last minute as was concentrating on overtaking drifting land rover! - it looked very good.

I got a longlife stainless system fitted to my 1.8 16v for £270 - same size tailpipe as the original, sounds great and I have noticed an improvement in performance and fuel economy. I think their wesite is: http://www.exhausts.uk.com/home/?a=1
