So what other symptoms are there when the lift pump is gone, I get the buzzing but it doesnt bother me and the engine seems to be runnig ok. Also, how much is a new one and are they easy to replace?

Yeh, the spoiler is Zender, not sure about the bumpers but the skirts are different, there a bit like Oettinger ones but thats the closest ive found.

Mine makes the buzzing as well, has done for the last 2 years since I got it. The jumping around the street could be unrelated, I would get the hall sender in the distributor checked.

Wish I was, the bit running along the door is damaged and I dont know where to try and get a replacement :cry:

I just got the ISV out the cupboard and the sticker with part number is missing. What i'll do is get the new one out the car to get the part number and stick the old one back in to make sure it works proper with my new ECU.

When I got my C it was already fitted with sideskirts, im just wondering if anyone knows what kind they are. The only place ive ever seen them is on this car that came from I think the BBM website. Any ideas? Cheers

I think its only for vr6's due to the management system they have.

Looking at your problem again I dont think it sounds like the ISV. Has your battery been disconected recently, if so then you will have to do the ECU reset procedure which im sure someone will be able to post.

Ive got a spare one, I replaced mine as I thought it was gubbed but it turned out to be the ECU. £15 and its yours, im in Clydebank so not too far from you. this is assuming its the same part for 16v's and vr6's.

I think thats probably the best explanation, I went out today, the water needed topping up (slightly low) then I started the car and everything was fine. It wasnt as cold today either and I cant see any visible coolant leaks so I will just have to keep an eye on it for the next few days.

My car hasnt been used for a few days and today when I went out it was frozen solid with ice also on the inside of the windscreen. I started it up and left it running for about 15 minutes waiting for it to heat up and defrost but there was only cold air blowing from the heaters. Ive never had this problem before and im pretty sure it isnt the heater controls as it had been left on hot form the last time it was used and was fine then. The engine warmed up as normal. Any ideas? Is there a thermostat or something that stops water going into the matrix until the car warms up.

I think the full closure only works on facelift c's, the older ones dont close the sunroof with the key held and this is the signal that full closure alarms use.

With u having a 2.0 16v the same as me then u dont worry about it, use optimax if u want but its not neccessary. I think the only problems were with some 1.8's that can pink on normal unleaded but most are ok.

Dont know about that much of an increase but id imagine thats with a different camshaft as well.

Out of curiosity what were your emmision results, ive got a feeling my car isnt running perfect and would like to compare them to mine.

I had a slight leak in my radiator when I bought my car (nearly 2 years ago). I put half a bottle of radweld in and have never had to top up the water since. I dont beleive it has gunged up the hoses or anything either as ive never seen the water temp above the 110 line and oil rarely goes over 100.

Had mine cut off too, when it was lose I could feel it vibrating under braking, with it off all vibrations are gone. (its been off over a year now.)
