  1. Bastard! I am not that old y'know lol Tell me more, sounds interesting - p.s. are you a bit of a boffin head?
  2. lol excuse my bad spelling! All said in jest mate (thats mate as in pal/friend not potential humping partner lol) Kev wont take offense at that, we're bigger than that, and although it was a spelling error, it made it more funny to me so I am leaving it lol Contratulations on developing the warp drive! super news :D Seriously I am interested in this stuff, but I find it difficult to take in especially in the light of the UKs energy crisis. If technology like this had been proven then surely that would be the answer to all our problems on a large scale?
  3. Should give you just enough to time to leap out of the car then, while simulteaneously extinguishing you fag
  4. Is hydrogen a fuel just like petrol is?! eh? eh? ANSWER THE QUESTION GODDAMMIT!!!! lol
  5. does hygrogen not burn (quite fiercly) on its own?!?! I think so my freaky haired friend. That tells me its releasing quite enough energy on its own without any need for petrol.
  6. so. you take some water, zapp it with electric, then it releases Hydrogen, which is all good so far, then you burn the hydrogen and it turns into water? The laws of conservation of energy sort of suggest that this is not possible. Where does the energy come from? Sounds like we need to ditch this naff nuclear power plant idea and take up burning water! somebody help me out here as I am seeing perpetual motion.
  7. what about all these fancy rear steering rear bushes then? surely if they start to wear out, and I am sure there are a lot of corrados on the road now with worn ones, they will definately cause some tail happiness. I have a set of polybushes to go in the back of mine.
  8. wow you must be the first person in the history of ever to convert from 5 stud wide track to 4 stud narrow track
  9. so you really mean Nitrogen then? can someone explain to me what Nitrogen has to do with anything?! as far as I was aware it is not a flammable gas?
  10. as opposed to the highly flammable substance just undernieth that thin skin of metal called a boot  and ']['H3R4POR, do me a favour and change your avatar pic, its freakin me out man!
  11. what you need nitrogen for? thats an inert gas is it not?
  12. anyone got the download for the program?
  13. silver leather? does that not look a bit too star trek?
  14. Sorry I have checked and I dont have a defibrilliator, but I have a couple of sets of jump leads and a couple of car batteries if we could get him restarted that way
  15. no mate. only because i do not have a mk4 servo. I have a mk4 MC but not a servo. Unless you had a spare one going cheap ;-)
  16. ah, to sharpen your pencil with a knife! now I see.
  17. thats what I think. I am pleased everyone else is so vocal on this subject!
  18. are they taking steps to rectify the problem then Chris?
  19. nah its one of those things that you inhale drugs with. Look at his eyes man, he's away with the little green pixies! seriously though hope you get better mate, you know my mother has the same condition and it can be a bit scary. She has her op in June.
  20. oh it gets more interesting: I just so happen to have 2 what I believe to be VR6 servos and mastercylinders. Both the servos have the same part numbers on them, but the plunger arrangement is totally different on them! So much so that if I swap themround one of them now has a gap of about 1cm and other has the mastercylinder half pressed in! Weird. question is, would it have any detremental effect if the mastercylinder was just slightly pressed in by a knatts chuff? I am talking about less than a mil. I believe this will have no bad effect at all as the mastercylinder is just a piston to push fluid, and it doesnt have to be parked in the fully out position.
  21. ok, while building my pedal box for the corrado I decided to do a bit investigation into what causes that bit travel at the pedal before it bites. The servo has a plunger type affair in the middle of it which is actuated by the brake pedal. That plunger then fits into the the master cylinder, and on operation of the brakes in turn pushes the piston on the mastercylinder. So with the servo and mastercylinder assembly in my hand I noticed I could push about a millimeter of servo travel before the mastercylinder started to operate - conclusion - with the mastercylinder and servo assembled there is still about a millimeter gap between the plunger and the mastercylinder piston. I found myself a small rubber washer approximately the right thickness and rammed that into the mastercylinder piston, and the mil of play has gone altogether. See pictures
  22. I am just a mass of green, theres nothing there at all!
  23. Chris, harra, and all the other aftermarket wannabes, take note....this is what I have said from day one, based on my own experience. Ben, does the ECU have a function to fire off the spark plugs on their own with nothing else? My DTA used to have this diagnostic type function, and when my car just wouldnt start for any reason I used to plug my laptop in and run this. I would hear a couple of pops as the unburnt fuel in the bores went up, then when I tried to start it after that it would fire up ok. OEM all the way for me, aftermarket is utter dog piss
