dr_mat, good but frustrating points as I am sure you know! glad your getting there Jim, just go on vw.co.uk and stick a logo into Word.

who was scarlett insured with before?
-
would it not be worth phoning some other insurance companies, might be cheaper changing companies who don't care about certification? what a kerfuffle ;)

Jim When I got my car I needed to do the same thing. The guy came out, whizzed the underside shelf of the glovebox out and got a serial number off the alarm control unit and also from the siren in the bonnet. He stuck the info in his PDA and although it was old said that all was OK cat 1 approved. One letter faxed to insurance company on headed paper, job as a good un. Don't see how they can't recertify? Have they given a good reason? Sounds like BS to me, you tried any other companies? Andrew

the scale is a bit off as they are covering my 17s on the pchop. could be a possibility, the missus would cry if I put another set of rims away for Winter! think i'll do it!!! mr beige, what kinda protection will help during the winter time?

Everything been a bit quiet on the Rado front recently, moved house a couple of months ago which as caused some serious open wallet surgery. Bought a set of sebrings (cheers red corrado 16v) to replace the 17" Wolfrace wheels, one had an allergy to a pot hole. The difference in the ride is impressive, so have been thinking of keeping the sebrings as you don't see many rados wearing them (correct me if I am wrong). I would love to see my Rado wearing these beasts (see attached). How much would it cost do get this done and what are they like to keep a) clean b) corrosion free Other things on todo list are: New roof strips Colour code rear number plate recess Corrado mats + doorsills Isolate a few squeaks and rattles!

what you done with your old rims mate? car looking pukka :D interesting you say that runs better on 16s than 15s. I've swopped my 17s for a set of sebrings, the difference is unbelievable. The ride is so much more forgiving but still has that Rado sticky feeling going around bends. Anyway, nice work!

4 gallons of water + chargecooler setup, how much would that weigh - certainly add to the wet weight of the car. Anyone compared this to a FMIC setup?
