  1. interesting video. 50mm spitter on early model?.. although knowing you it'll be something to do with the gauges??
  2. lots of variables.. width of wheel/offset/tyre size/ride height.. I ran 17x7.5 on 205/40s ET25 with a reasonable drop with minimal scrubbing.. any more of anything and i'd have had to of done arch work.
  3. the gauges unscrew, its easy to change them over..

  5. i ended up pulling up all the carpets, underlay and everything, so it was easy to see where the leaks were coming from. pain to do, and not looking forward to putting it all back, but with just a drivers seat the cars much quicker!!
  6. so is it quite different to the original stuff? I can get hold of some sort or sticky back foam from work [for bmw's] i guess this would be the same stuff now?
  7. not bothered on cost really, just dont want to have wet carpets again! hadnt thought of using the door cards, could remember if theres anything in there that shouldn't be covered..
  8. I've had a water leak in the car for a while now and stripped the carpets to find a slight leak from the heater foliage cover and from the passenger door. I've got a replacement seal on order for the foliage cover, so that bit's sorted. However, i've just taken the door card off to check the membrane and it's missing!! I was going to go down the route of sticking it back down or making a rubble sack replacement, however as i dont have a template i don't know how much to cover. Is it worth using the drivers side as a guide, or are replacements actually available from VW? I'm guess i may now be better off buying a new one. Also, the smelly green stuff under the carpet - are replacements available of that? Cheers Baz.
  9. All those extra leather covered numberplates and engine covers we're missing out on. How can we carry on with our miserable little lives knowing we're missing out on so much engineering talent? So when was the last time you went to SEMA then Mr international big shot? I did. What of it? You're right. Nobody outside of the UK has engineering talent. These lot should get themselves up to stealth. I take it you went to SEMA last year then? Good for you. I was invited by Samco, but couldn't justify the costs to look at diamond studded wheels and lairy paintwork.
  10. these guys wont know about non uk shows.. which tw@t set up the poll then?
  11. Oh yeah, and imagine going on CT saying you've just bought a wicked pair of shox...
  12. i'm gonna be running 8.5 and 9x17, on a 205/40/17. cant remember offsets, havent seen the wheels since inters..
  13. theres a reason everyone will say gwerks! at least if you drive down the charger will be nearly run in by the time you're back.. 8)

  16. the second set are horrible! the first are okay.. id look for a set of cheap G60 BBS instead.
  17. i'd pay up to £400 on the basis that the whole lot will need connollising..
  18. i had someone want to part ex one in the week, i struggled to get him 16k for a 03 plate with 63k miles.. soo much car for the money..
  19. its all about the never never.. no one buys cars outright these days, youd be mad to. if you can afford £500-800 per month - which a lot of people can, you could get your hand on something decent..
