Any chance of putting up some photos of the offering bits?
-
Just How the *ck one can mistakenly put a main bearing in is just unconceivable.. You really have to be a dumb s*it. The crank wouldn't turn and the shell wouldn't even seat 'cos of the locating tab that would be squashed. I personally have never seen or heard of a twisted Vr block, one that was line bored badly yes but twisted, no. Maybe when running 1000 hp with a huge shot of nitrous on top, maybe. I've never seen a girdle reinforcing plate fitted either, unlike the 4 cyl blocks that tend to distort, again when one is dealing with very high turbo boost or nitrous shots. The same thing regards the crankshaft, I've never heard of a forged steel crank distorting, unless maybe it was Tuftrided badly or damaged in some other way.. Very unusual issue here concerning your engine Jim..

Are the front foglamps and indicators still available mate? Possibly both headlamps too. Cheers.

Hi Lauren, Welcome aboard corrado ownership! I do have a good condition drivers side front wing. Send me your email and I'll get you a few photos up. Cheers-Andrew.

Jim, did you ever receive the photos and postage quotes I sent a while back? The onse of the Vr block, crank, rods, pistons, oil pump, chain cases, sump, the bottom end of the 19.000km engine?? I don't trust this bloody Libero server much.. Let me know if you did or if you still need it all. Cheers.

I've got a new one mate, only problem is that i'm in Rome, Italy. If you can't find one let me know.
-
Hmm, strange one.. Could you get a photo of the offending bit? If it's the bit I'm thinking I've probably got a spare on an old selector tower I have.
-
I'll check later on when i go down to My garage mate. Send me your email and I'll send you a few pics. Cheers.

As title guys, anyone know if the electric Hella headlamp beam adjuster motor off a mk3 golf would actually screw into the corrado's headlamp? Anyone tried it? Bigger/smaller bayonet fixing? Cheers.

Early versions Chris, the later one's are smooth without the raised circle around the lock barrel. I personally don't like the earlier ones and i think that one of the handles is in fact early. I'll pass on this. Cheers. -

Price for both door handles mate, if they are the later version with no raised area around the key hole and if they both work.. Cheers. -
Sorry Sam, i forgot to mention that i'm based Italy.. I'm worried that it might get damaged in transit. Have a look on Heritage and if they are too expensive we can look into it again Cheers.

Let me Know if you need any g60 bits.. -
Question is, How the help did it happen in the first place??? Driveshafts normally don't just er, pop out.. Are you sure Your diff. rivets haven't snapped, possibly smashing a hole through the gearbox casing?..
-
I 'think' i may have a brand new 50mm spoiler somewhere down in the garage, someplace.. Let me see tomorrow morning before going to work and I'll try and locate it. Send mw your email and I'll get you a few photos sent.
-
Knock, knock anyone home???
-
Wow, That's a first.. How the hell did it all fall to bits?? Your gonna need a locking circlip, locking lever, spring and possibly quite a few lock tumblers.. Let me see what i have left in a big bag of old door handles, if i have one or two levers i'll post hem over. Cheers.
-
Not by any chance going to Rome, Italy are you?.. Yep, I'm only a stones throw away from you mate.. Try doing what I suggested first, 99% of the time it's only a buggered regulator.
-
More details on the headlamp bits. Cheers.
-
Try changing the regulator pack first, Bosch alternator is very easy, 2 screws. Check the slip rings inside too, were the brushes rub on. If it still don't work, I'll see if I have a spare one.
