  1. now come on steve mate.......don't hold back
  2. thats if they want to do the plain old G60's now  ...........as(by all accounts) they seem to have lost interest in the very product that helped make their name.............G-werks, JMR or Pit-stop are who you need to speak to these days
  3. AB12 is for the south of Aberdeen city
  4. vr6storm

    stumped

coil-pack,fuel filter/pump,HT leads, loose ECU feed plenty of other stuff it could be..................best get someone to VAG-COM check it 1st for the sensors as you could be chasing yer tail all day trying to rule them out......good luck
  5.
  6. there was a former storm-owner (trevor rice IIRC) that had his solitudes painted a kind of anthracite/graphite colour.........was good for hiding the brake dust apart from the fact they would look constantly dirty...........if i were you i would either keep them looking factory or like i did with mine get them done in a glitter-effect powder-coat............and of course there is always the highly polished look to give them but this i would imagine would be a right nightmare to keep on top off
  7. also be as well changing the rear bearings and depending on how crusty they are the rear ABS rotors(approx £8+vat ea)
  8. You're joking right? God those things were terrible.... you could see where the savings were made compared to the 3 series. My mate's E46 rattles a bit and is actually noisier inside the cabin than my C..... but then it only has the rough old 4 pot engine in it, which is very boomy and thrashey at high revs. The 6 cylinder Bimmers are much, much better and the only ones worth bothering with imo...... the compacts tbh weren't that bad.........just obviously a bit of cost-cutting in the choice of materials and of course the old E-30 rear suspension set-up........and of course the good old 16 valver in the Ti'swhich gave them a decent turn of speed i enjoyed owning mine for near on 2 1/2 years of near trouble-free service
  9. i read the problem with the ceramic discs being that owners were thinking that they had an infinite lifetime(due to the massive cost of them as options)and just subjecting them to abuse and wondering why after 5k miles they were Fubar'd...........nothing to do with the amount or location of the holes......and IIRC they aren't drilled as such but are "cast" with the holes in position
  10. more than likely  ..............would help if brady actually gave us a bit more info as to where he's from, where he's living and what country his BMW spec is
  11. not in the UK tho...........according to BMW(UK) that is
  12. ah but that aint a UK model tho is it?
  13. on the old E-30 3-series there was a 4wd variant called the iX and also on the E-34 5-series too.........but i aint ever heard of it on the E-46 or even the E-36 :?
  14. funnily enough so was mine...............but............within 5 mins of driving my storm tho ive never once regretted selling my 318ti for a low price to get into the C
  15. i can't see how he can be wanting to compare a junior SUV with a Sports Coupe but then again looking at where the X and the C are on a Keyboard maybe he is meaning the Ci............... :? :? :? :? :? now i'm getting really confused :? :? :? :? .....................1st i thought he was meaning an X3 then thought he'd miss-typed but now reading back again i noticed he mentioned FWD(C VR) v 4WD(BMW)..........so over to you brady......what exactly is it you've been driving?????
  16. what we seem to be losing sight of tho is the original Q......."what are the best brake pads"...........however by this he is really meaning what are the best ones to keep brake dust to a minimum.....which from what ive always heard about in the past, are the greenstuff's...............i use pads which are made by and for the discs i use(AtE power grooves so AtE pads)......and i get plenty brake dust due to the grooves but as i clean my wheels easily every 2nd day this aint a problem for me
  17. this had me in stitches........MAX POWER motorsport magazine
  18. i can't see how he can be wanting to compare a junior SUV with a Sports Coupe but then again looking at where the X and the C are on a Keyboard maybe he is meaning the Ci............... :? :? :? :? :?
  19. large turbo 92-94/95 small turbo 94/95-96/97
  20. i think he's meaning an X3
  21. EBC greenstuff are meant to keep the brake dust low.......however seemingly at the expense of shortened disc life
  22. right going by the V.A.G 1813 wheel alignment figures that Star-Performance used on mine 2 1/2 years ago Front Camber.................left/right ...........-1o20' +/- 0o20' Toe........................left/right............+0o00' +/- 0o05'
