    i'm sure most VW specialists will inspect a potential purchase for you for a reasonable price circa £50-ish.........and they will at least know what to look out for and what is just nit-picking........so do that and throw in a HPI check and for not much over half the cost of a AA inspection.......voila a nice knowledgable report on the car :wink:

    is it a full rebuild or just a top-end rebuild????? best ppl to ask are the likes of kevhaywire or PhatVR6 as they seem to know the finer points of the VR lump better than most

I was winding him up yesterday saying that it was VW's original "classic" green still looks s***e tho ...............na seriously thats one well tidy C you've now got...............never thought the colour would compliment it soo much but in the flesh its just awesome 8)

    The only caveat to the 14 day rule I know is if the driver wasn't the registered keeper (i.e. company car, hire car etc.) LvP. forgot to mention it was a hire car :wink:

    NIP has to be to you within 14days of offence......HOWEVER.......a mate of mine had one 26 days after the offence and another solicitor mate advised him to take it on the chin as it seemingl was still legal upto 28 days after the offence

    not that the G60 or Golf VR6 are cheap to maintain.......but if you're on a budget i'd avoid the fiat coupe turbo like the plague...........at least the VW's brakes are cheap to replace let alone the costs involved with the cambelt change on the Fiat :shock: :shock: :shock:
