  3. this muppet speaks total and utter Bullshit.................the Scorpio Cosworth apart from only having 195 bhp IIRC was also automatic only..........can't seem to remember Ford having a Autobox capable of 150mph let alone 180mph
  4. steep is that a joke????? ......bearing in mind its a Corrado piece of trim its quite reasonable :-P
  5. who was it that owned it again Jim :?:
  6. don't get me wrong john.........the Milltek is a nice and good quality exhaust and i haven't had a problem with mine since having it fitted 2 years+ ago.....its just IMO the Magnex looks to be the better looking tailpipe and from driving a VR6 with one fitted is just as good quality as the Milltek.........i can understand you wanting a "fair trial" for the Milltek but as you are a stockist and have a close working relationship with Milltek themselves.....then your views unfortunately won't be un-biased(which as you believe strongly in their product is quite right )whereas forum members such as myself who have experienced both and have no vested interest in either can afford to give a "honest and unbiased" opinion on which is the better one to go for.....in this case i would say Magnex edges Milltek on the finish/looks of the tailpipe and they are equal in fit/sound/quality etc and ok the tailpipe really means not much.......but its what you see of your investment
  7. 2.0 16v is meant to be a bit more torquey than the 1.8.............but not as slow as some figures suggest April 92 is when the 2.0 16v first appeared........though with the early interior there is a cheap-ish 2.0 16v in a nice dark colour on the forum at the moment......needs some minor paint but benefits from a mint interior and is in rude health mileage wise much and such the same for comparable Golfs etc.........most will be 100k-ish the 1.8 KR is much and such identical to the KR in the Golf 16v(mk2).......the 2.0 16v is found in Passats and some Audi's(well it is an Audi design)
  8. then again if it was sparkly clean you would also think that he was hiding something.............kind of a catch 22 situation really :?
  9. probably cos its an aquirred taste  ...............it is a genuine colour too LC6Z
  10. Be careful of gravel rash. 9 useful/helpful replies to this and VR6 goes and lowers the tone of it  :-P :-P :-P
  11. hmmmm you're happy about having back pains to get compo  ............and you've also earlier said you've accepted money from the guy involved????................sorry but that sort of atitude stinks...........it gives the impression that you are mercenary in your approach to this...........btw if yer back pains are false and you see this as a way of getting more money all you are doing is in effect increasing everybodies insurance premiums while you line your pockets
  12. this is the one that was stolen IIRC
  13. me too 8) .....mystic blue was my 1st choice.......but must admit the green has grown on me a hell of a lot more than when i first went to look over mine........just wish green storms had black leather interiors

  19. taking a few times to turn-over,difficulty starting from hot this garage that checked the fault codes...........did they elimante the coolant temp sensor???......cos thats the sort of mischief that that lil devil can cause on a VR............good news tho...........tis under £10 for the sensor and takes a VW-dealer 30mins tops to change
  20. if it was a 130 or 150bhp TD then thats nothing to be ashamed off........they are absolute torque-monsters
  21. Nah the rarest is probably Khaki, remember seeing a C for sale a few years ago in that colour, advert said it was the only one in the UK IIRC and looking at the picture of it I could see why... one of the guys(can't remember his name  ) from the yahoo e-group had a khaki green VR6 which was stolen a year or two ago    ........and IIRC Pau1 told me he spotted a 16v one up N Scotland a few years back too
  22. well tbh tornado red was only available from launch 1988 til 1991/92 whereas i think aqua blue has been available for a bit longer...........it'll be close thats for sure
