  1. time you went to spec-savers Roy :D ...........my leather is well minging!! :(
  2. welcome to the forum...............and as the query really concerns Golfs......i'll move this to the general car chat section
  3. Hmmmm good point - I was thinking I'd be OK with my no claims being protected, but forgot about the possible premiums hike in future :-( :-( well i too have protected NCD which i thought meant no chance of future insurance increases............til someone told me its only the discount thats protected   ............
  4. tbh if it was me i wouldn't go thru the insurance unless it was over £400........as this will still go down as an "at fault"  claim and with yer past claims record i'm pretty sure that your premium will increase by an easy £100-ish+.............worth thinking about
  5. yip more than likely would have been Skid's though its on 40k-ish rather than 14k  and funnily enough there is a Pearlescent blue 72k 93 VR6 for sale about 10-15miles from me  ...............i'll easily investigate it more closely

  9. Andi(the boss :-P ) and Asim also have them too IIRC
  10. optional extra from the factory AFAIK
  11. i was always told NEVER to use an engine flush in a VR
  12. ironically enough the VR6 that my suspension currently resides was originally a 16v too............not that it should make much of a difference as the GTi's and VR6 Mk3's all use the plus suspension
  13. Ah, the words of a true Corrado slave. Clearly, a mortal of certain weaknesses - - just like the rest of us! the ridiculous thing there tho............thats a totally true statement
  14. well my "old" standard C VR suspension is driving around on a mk3 VR6 .....with very little modification IIRC
  15. from the cooking(230 Kompressor) merc models tho i'd imagine its pretty reasonable cost wise
  16. Should be no problem to ship them to you. Should be no custom issues? Customs..? What's that?? Well, the customs in Norway ain't easy, but since the orders been pre paid, you could send this as a gift. Would'nt get rid of the English VAT, but did not have to pay the Norwegian tax, whitch is 24% (perverts!!) But this is only if we're lucky. If not, I'll have to pay norwegian tax on these, but, everything goes. I'll hear with some of my friends, of their interessted. pretty sure that you wouldn't be charged the "english" VAT on an exports(UK-Norway) anyway
  17. this car was discussed last week on the forum IIRC hopefully its gonna turn out to be the bargain that you bought it for........btw welcome to C-ownership
  18. is that from the same ppl who do MUKOFF for m/bikes i wonder?

IIRC the VR6 radiator is bigger............but like everything else there are ways and means of making it fit
  21. also if you PM G60Renshaw and/or A20LEE from this forum........i'm sure they'll give you some handy hints and tips for cleaning yer engine bay
  22. Gunk is a well known engine degreasant  ...........well ok not that well-known to you then :D
  23. vr6storm

    Slam panel

you'll be missing cut-outs/holes for the radiator with an early slam panel btw
  24. i think Gunk is yer best answer rather than jet-washing/steam cleaning...........though you need to agitate it when you have brushed it on and also have a low-pressure water hose handy to rinse it off...........also to be on the safe side protect the vulnerable electrics with a plastic bag
