IMHO they'll look stupid...............especially if you have standard suspension.......cos it'll exaggerate the 4x4 look no-end -
and of course the 1 group higher insurance rating

Actually Roddy, I think you'll find it was JimsG60 who mentioned Borbets first in this thread and not me......, But anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, personal comments in an open forum about the price of something a member is trying to sell does not really help. I don't think it really matters how many times the wheels have changed hands or how long I have had the wheels, what matters is how rare they are and the price I am selling them for now compared to buying them new....,I don't think this type of wheel depreciates in value that much over 6 months  And if you read it correctly, I am actually asking for £700 o.n.o, which means offers near that figure..., But again thanks for your valuable insight :D BigEastsideVWG60 Storm2 sorry for this hi-jack but i'm wanting this cleared up right struan first off jim mentioned borbets.........you mentioned borbet B's......if you look back you'll see i also never said you mentioned Borbets first and if you feel so strongly about personal comments about what ppl have for sale perhaps you forgot your little dig at the guy with the 93 reg C VR6 that was wanting over £5k for it and yes it does matter how many times wheels have changed hands........cos it all depends on how they get treated too.........funny how in your e-bay listing you use the picture of the wheels on the guy's car who sold them to u...........and yet the only picture you have of them on you motor is a very crap low-res one that shows no-detail whatsoever of the condition they are in also they maybe are rare wheels, but given that you don't give them the care and attention wheels like that "deserve"(like washing them regularly) you can't compare them with what they cost new.......and make it seem that they are an absolute bargain which IMHO they aren't........FFS i bought a set of 2nd-hand-unused BBS/BMW split-rims(pretty much the same style as the RS001's and inc new fuldas) for my BMW compact 5 years ago(from a BMW specialist dealer) for not much more than you are wanting for yours...........

STORM2 if you get contact details for martin hyland from the VWCCGB i'm sure he might be able to help you out......pretty sure he has more than one set of BBS solitudes that he might consider selling.........ive got 2 spare ones here but A)they have a slight silver sparkle effect powder coat to them,B)they have been refurbed but they werent that great shape before so although refurbed well they have a few wee minor blemishes and C) i would be looking at £30 for one + carriage :) which could make it more economical for you to buy a 2nd hand refurbed set  ...........not sure how much they weigh but will try and find out a price for carriage for you

a 42 day ban  aint going to help.........i reckon £800-£900 -
yes funnily enough it was about expensive BBS alloys.....it was you who mentioned Borbet B's one thing tho struan £700 for a set of 2nd hand or even 3rd hand wheels that you've had for over 6months...........
-
well i got mine 2nd-hand tho unused and a genuine Kamei one too all for £30............but pretty sure if there is enough interest for the GS&F copy perhaps stevemac could organse a group-buy for it

oh no you're not m8 :-P   ......given the choice between borbets or BBS........i would go BBS everytime 8) .....don't get me wrong the Borbets are nice enough but IMHO not nearly as nice as a set of BBS split-rims 8) i agree! BBS splits vs anything else really, BBS win! But......... BBS splits vs bank account..... BBS also win! Other wheel vs bank account......the bank account has a chance!!! depends on whether you buy struan's wheels tho   :-P :-P :-P

very very very long shot here btw........i seem to remember amit judge aka rado16v(i think.....sorry bit vague)having a window fuse blowing problem either on the forum or in a thread on the e-group a fair while back......and if i remember correctly it had something to do with his reverse light switch or fuse too......being really really vague here btw
