well Furk mate.........i'm waiting til i get me hands on an Allegro so we can go for tthe ultimate cruise 8)
-
thanks for all the comments........sorry to hear about your cousin VeeDub I'm sure he made your family as well as his country proud :salute: ......and ppl don't worry the Storm is still going to be in my ownership,in fact its still my main car as the 993 is on 2nd car/classic insurance 5k mile limit a year and all for the bargain price of £535
-
well picked this lil beauty up.............bit of mixed emotions tho,as my mother suddenly and unexpectently passed away at the beginning of the year :( and left me some property which helped me buy a newer house and this "baby"
-
or could be his coil-pack is cracked as 93 is the changeover year from dizzy to CP
-
from memory, the GTX is the injected 1.8 GTI engine one,and the GT2 is a carb'd 1.8 and should be again from memory only be post 90 reg'd,the GTX came out in 84B and lasted to 90/91
-
pretty sure the red one was one of the last 20v's and wa about to be reg'd as a N-plate
-
cos it'll make any Corrado its put on look younger than what it is...............tis the rules of reggie plates i'm afraid to say..in other words you can put an older plate on your car but you can't put one that makes it look newer for instance you can't put any G-prefix onwards plates on your motor as its a F-plate
-
just a pity that V4LVR aint ever going to be legally on a Corrado
-
You could display it as "ARGON" which is an inert gas, a nice ironic plate for people that understand what the feck I'm talking about! A personalised plate is nice if it's your initials (personal afterall), as vr6storm points out you can keep the plastic rectangle that cost you a small fortune! Although a car specific plate always helps when selling the car itself. . must admit......... especially when my plate was on the 944T that i used to hope ppl would read it as A...by the time you get to 2 i'm GONe
-
tbh best get something thats more personal,as opposed to something car/model/maker specific......that way you can take it to yer next motor....having said that ive just bought C4 RGK which is car specific and also my initials......nope i aint bought a Citroen either btw  as for my plate on my C,well that was on a 944 Turbo i used to own(when i had hair) and IMO is quite a cool plate A2 GON.............means FA other than it has a bit of sentimental value
-
i've had a small amount of mayo in my VR oil cap for the past 4 years of ownership, its nothing more sinister than condensation,it'll dissappear by the time you've done over 5miles on a trip and the engine has properly warmed up
-
ahh but we do have airports/train stations etc.............might be pointless but you never know
-
go for eastside again, might get some interest
-
well as the carpets are grey and the dash also looks to be grey..............i'd say the leather has deffo been retro-fitted still makes it look a good un tho 8)
-
btw AFAIK the 1.8 16v can't be "chipped"
-
its a 2.1 5 cyl audi engine close.....but it looks too like a 20v 2.2 to moi :D ............the 10v 2.1 don't look anything special btw  taken from dahlbacks website The stock 1.8 litre engine has been replaced by an inline five cylinder 2.1 litre Audi turbo engine with two large intercoolers. The engine develops about 600-900 hp depending on the choice of turbo and setup. To make room for the larger engine, the inner fenders had to be replaced by chrome-molybden pipes. well as its a 20v engine unless they've reduced the capacity it should be 2.2

Thats not a bad idea. I wonder how much they would charge for that pleasure though?!!! If anyone knows let me know! well with VWCCGB discount my local $tealer charges me the grand total of £10+vat for the pair!!!!!.............cheaper than any local motor factor up here does
-
of course they could have been wanting to see if you'll "bite"...........i know it took me a few times to realise thats what the guys i work with were doing to me in the first days of C ownership everytime they asked me about my "Scirocco"
-
get the plates made at yer local $tealer...........that way you should have a little VW logo with the $tealer's name at the bottom....so makes yer C look like you've just bought it from the $tealer
-
sure i spotted my first one about 1990..........a Tornado red valver i think(well it was RHD)
-
different(just) capacity too

worst case scenario = oil pump knackered= no oil pressure more than likely to be...........the oil pressure switch(that controls the buzzer) is Knackered so telling it to buzz cos you aint got "pressure"
