all down to that colour tho.......................if someone put up a guards red 928GTS then i'm sure you'd be raving about it :D
-
urghhh.........pick the worst 928 colour eh   .......
-
get a 993!!!!!..................seriously tho,i would imagine there's more of a sense of occasion driving the 928 than the beemer, much the same performance/costs etc so all really down to which you'd want to have on the driveway
-
big thanks to daves16v bought his HU he was selling a few weeks back,he waited til the end of the month for payment and sent it up promptly and extremely well packaged........haven't fitted it yet but can't forsee any probs with it
-
Adrian Flux were going to insure my Storm under a classic car policy, but i instead insured my 993 with AON as a classic/2nd car type policy with my Corrado still under admiral as my main car....i know Carole nash wouldn't look at doing the Corrado under any classic policy
-
i've also thought about doing this.................AFAIK you need to part with approx £2-£3k of your own money, from what ive heard LDC/BSM/AA are the best ones to go for
-
na had this job for over 4 years now............don't do it so much for the money(its min wage btw)............but it does have a major perk..........cheap lease cars.............Toureg for £202 per month  or S4 cab for £245   .......just a pity i haven't bothered with one yet and without doubt they do get hammered some are up to it some aint
-
maybe thats what happens in the prestige side but i work for Europcar p/t and i can assure you they never clock the motors, they are supplied from manufactures and they all have a mileage limit(which varies)and the hire companies get penalised if they go over it.....but we are speaking of 12-14k miles...........the oldest motors aside from commercials are all on 05 plates too btw,so not even 1 yo

ouch!!!!!.............been there done that...........except i came off really really lucky..........my Ur-Quattro went travelling backwards down the g/f's(now missus's) street into a neighbours fence..................result luckily for me was a slightly deformed middle section of bumper...which was easily persuaded back into shape.........otherwise i'd have been looking for £800+ just for the middle section of bumper..............all down to a faulty rear caliper btw -
ive got one somewhere  ...........got them from the VWCCGB about 2-3 years ago IIRC
-
yip and its still giving sterling service :D
-
damn thats sexy.................better looking than a 993 TT
-
you an ex 924 owner too?............i remember there being a few 924 owners on the forum tho i'm still planning to eventually have my 924S restored.........much as the wife would prefer me to try and sell it
-
that'll more than likely be a 993 GT2.............fancied them myself as they do look the dogs danglies but...........they are on a widebody so aint an easy fit on a narrow body 993 so god knows how you are going to fit them on a C
-
You mean a 965 then just to be a Geek. OI!!!!.stop trying to out-geek me matey..............was going to say 965 but thought it might confuse peeps :D :D :D
-
not 100% sure but i think the one in badboys is a 964 model Turbo...which is the series previous to the 993
-
yalan........do you still own the car that you sold the number off ?...........it could be different rules if you aint selling the car but just the number
-
thats what i was told on friday when i tried to put the 993's old number on retention on behalf of the vendor, however if i put it on retention in my name(subject to a gentlemans agreement with the 993's vendor) when the paperwork comes thru i can put him down as the new nomineee and the rights pass on to him
-
Actually no - ownership of the car isn't a problem. I just sold the private plate which came with my car. Sold it to a random guy through e-bay who payed the £80 transfer fee. My car just reverted back to its original number. its not ownership of the car tho........its ownership of the plate(or rather entitlement of it),unless chrissh puts it on his new motor he can't transfer it directly back to chrisvr6nos unless he(CH) puts it on retention first
-
you're more than welcome to come up.....ive also moved into a new pad too so have tons of room for cars in the drive......hope you have both settled in to domestic bliss.........she needs to make an honest man of you thats for sure LOL :D :D
-
pretty sure that only applies if it is going on to your new car................as its on your motor at the moment it is legally yours,so in theory chrisvr6nos cant put it on his car as there is no connection............best thing to do is for you to put the number on retention which cost £105........but lets you when the paperwork comes back sign it over to chrisvr6nos and he has up to a year to put it on his motor..........i'm in a similar boat with the 993 you see, and thats what my local DVLA office said was quickest/easiest to do
-
sounds like its just a very good retrim
-
got it inspected at my local OPC prior to purchase, the only prob that cropped up was a slight leak from one of the rocker covers, which was sorted before picking it up,and yes know about the high maintenence costs
-
well you supply me (FOC) with a tanker full of aviation fuel and its urs for a weekend chubby
-
tis a 95M 993model pre-varioram Carrera 4..........with AFAIK full aerokit options(from factory) 20k(speedo replacement at 40k miles) FOPCSH i bought it for £26k...i thought of an E-46 M3 but apart for its superior grunt,i find the 993 more "special" and more than likely to hold its value better............but the only thing that might be a problem for u will be the insurance not sure if they'll cover under 25's on any 993/M3 quite as easily as the S3
