  2. well i know the Koni Coil-over kit is the same for all Mk3 Golfs(with plus suspension) and also Corrado VR6 and G60
  3. Hi back Nick :D , yeah these invisible repair ppl would also spray it (using low-pressure airbrushes IIRC) but from what i hear the paint they use aint the best for longetivity just watch out for the dealer using them instead of a proper bodyshop if you know what i mean
  4. sounds very cheap for a proper blow-over................unless its one of these "invisible" repair type things tho...then its a bit steep
  5. ........well thats what he should say to his bro at the very least
  6. i take it he's also giving you family discount?...........asides from the cosmetics its only negative point seems to be the lack of leather(and of course the accident history)...........value wise i'd say it's probably anything between £5-6.5k...........but i wouldn't say a 94 VR was an early one so i dunno what you mean by the inferior HG's on early VR's
  7. its also to stop the cat from setting grass on fire if you happen to park on the grass

from memory ABS was optional until very late 92 G60 production...so chances are yours never had it

    Head Gasket?

try star-performance in Kirkcaldy...........cheap-ish rates for a quality job i would say that if its just a straight forward head gasket replacement then £2-£300 max
  13. I remember a few years back a guy from the VWCCGB up in Scotland managed to source a set of 17inch speedlines identical to his 15 O/E speedlines

    Head Gasket?

if it was overfilling that caused the blue smoke then once the level was back to normal it should stop
  15. there's also a Lyndsey Porter manual that covers the 16v C's amongst other dubs
  16. there are also little foam wedges at the rear of the tailgate that when closed also damp any vibrations from the parcel shelf
  17. bix i think is pretty close.................i know up here in jockland...if you were caught doing 100mph(in a 70) as opposed to say 95mph(in a 70)............you would deffo be banned
  18. well as its basically going to need some money thrown at it.............i would say between £2-2.5K on a good day

    Head Gasket?

moisture from the exhaust is ok.....especially when starting from cold......its just if it was white smoke from the exhaust i'd be worried...............as corradowales has said....have you checked for obvious leaks?.........it could possibly be your water pump is leaking,a small hole in the radiator, the expansion bottle having a split in it etc
  20. pffff......no sense quoting things if you weren't sure :-P .....and as supercharged says............only he's allowed to call me Doris :D :D
  21. err that'll be 7-ish years btw  ................july 1995 would have been the last C rolling off the line  ................and from memory the FK's/inpros only came out 2002/03
  22. pffffff............you should have seen what i had to pay in my 2nd week of C ownership for my headlight switch...£80!!!!!
  23. could be the switch itself...............tho the 2 ive replaced have always had the same symptom of the lights suddenly being on without the switch being on
