As you may be aware from my previous posts my G60 took a prang on the driver side rear quarter panel. Consequently the central locking is making a weird noise just inside of the petrol cap. It is locking and unlocking but seems to keep trying to unlock for about 2 mins after i've unlocked the car. The same happens when i lock the car. Any ideas it's driving me mad!!! :mad:

I have a G60 in need of some repair (Rear q Panel). I've found a breaking car with a perfect panel ready for removal but i've never done this before. The car is off the road so it doesn't matter with regard to time scale but how the hell do i start this off? Where do i cut the old panel off the donar and where do i attach it to my car? What type of welding is required? ( I can spot weld but thats about it) Any help would be much appreciated. For future reference and to aid the site i will take pictures as i go for anyone else who requires the info. Thanks

Sweet!! I'm driving a G60 but having some work done on it at the moment. I may even have to sell the car :( . Money worries are a problem at the moment. I'm still mobile though, drive a Focus SE normally so can always meet up still sometime? (My car details which may be for sale soon is in the 'Cars for sale section')

i wasn't sure whether to put down the deposit but i thought what the hell, they were getting ten calls an hour about it!! It's not bad, having the charger rebuilt and stage 4'd in the next couple of weeks but is running ok, needs tlc. Rear Q-panel is damaged and i'll have to replace rather than fix and the bumper was damaged at the same time by the looks of it. Its a dog in all honesty but i was looking for a project car for the summer so it's idea. I wouldn't be a car i could use straight away, its been standing for a while and i don't trust those tell-tail perishings on the visable belts in the engine bay. I'm gonna be putting up some pics as i do stuff but for now the autotrader one is all i've got.

I moved from Surrey down to Wiltshire about a year and a half ago and have recently passed up an opportunity to buy a great new Tractor :wink: to buy a G60 instead. Shame that all my buddies are still up in Surrey :( Anyone meet up down here?

Next question...... At the moment some knob's 15" dodgey alloys are still on the car having only got it today, obviously bigger ones will go on. I'm thinking of 18's and a 30mm drop. What are the consequences of doing this ie rubbing etc...

The journey begins. Having been a mate of Andi's for a few years now and having seen his VR6 just too many times i've finally given in and bought a Corrado. I'm gonna mod it to a degree, probably more cosmetic than performance but i'm easily persueded :? Firstly it's needs a complete overhall, it's ropey but i'm not in a rush (It's not my only car!). I want to keep the cost down and do as much work as i can myself. I'm not foreign to this and have had a couple of Golfs in the past but would appreciate any tips on what i should do first really. I just keep looking at it and smiling, such a kid. Look forward to hearing from all you lot. Cheers Jim
