  1. Sam, don't suppose you found this did you?
  2. Hi All, Was looking for some replacement pulleys for the Rado and found these on ebay for a Golf VR6 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-MK3-VR6-ALUMINIUM-ALLOY-UNDERDRIVE-3-PIECE-ENGINE-PULLEY-SET-KIT-/350794967358?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51ad02693e Is anyone able to confirm whether these would fit as the seller hasn't got a clue?? Thanks Jim
  3. Perfect, thanks Sam. Can you send me a text on the mobile if you find it please? Thanks Jim
  4. Hi Stuart, One of the members had a whole load made up to replace the rubbish rattly old ones. Might be worth seeing if he'll make another load up. I'll see if i can find the thread. It was a while ago to be air so no promises. 5. Part number is 021 145 169 D / 021145169D and is for an ABV car. Don't want to buy from the states so hopefully one of you might be able to help?!? Please either email me on here or drop me a text on 07799768321 Thanks Jim
  6. VR6 | Pearl Aqua Blue | Calne, Wiltshire Price: £Offers Description: Huff.... this is gut wrenching.... NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS WORTH - PAID COUPLE OF GRAND FOR IT 3 YEARS AGO AND HAVE SPENT AT LEAST THAT SINCE. NEED CASH SO MAKE ME AN OFFER! I need to sell my project. House to renovate and having had two kids since I bought it means I simply don't have time to finish it. I have already done tonnes and it would be easy to show you if I had remembered to pay my website subs - unfortunately it lapsed and they deleted everything. I didn't take a backup however I have billions of photos and tonnes of history. It's a Dark-ish blue K-reg VR6 with about 114k miles on the clock (I think - been a long time since I had the electrics on). Black leather Karman interior throughout which is in great condition. I've bought quality new carper for the car just needs cutting to shape and put in. I've had it about 3 years now and have done front big brake conversion an OBD2 upgrade to the loom and I have all the bits to go with it (ECU, manifold etc). This is a work in progress especially with the engine - I've spent a small fortune on this so far - block and head acid dipped cleaned, honed and had the head rebuild with new valve guides etc - it looks mint. Not fully rebuilt yet though and it needs main bearings and timing chains etc. This is a full on project and will be awesome when it's done. It simply needs to go and I've got no idea what it's worth. It will need to be trailored obviously. I'm based in Calne Wilthisre which is about 15 miles from J16 or 17 off M4. This needs to be seen hence why I'm advertising it on here only for the moment - not ebay. NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS WORTH - PAID COUPLE OF GRAND FOR IT 3 YEARS AGO AND HAVE SPENT AT LEAST THAT SINCE. NEED CASH SO MAKE ME AN OFFER! Let me know if you'd like to know more - number is 07799 768 321 and my email addy is [email protected] I'll add more stuff as I remember. Thanks Jim
  7. I've seen these pictures before, I'm sure of it. Is the owner not on here? From what I recall I read a massive thread on this and he spent THOUSANDS doing that conversion and all the other stuff. Not a bad buy for £4,750 I reckon?? Jim
  8. Yeah I've got this one too Jim; fits snugly over my bumpers and I'm happy with it. J
  9. Monza, pics of my headlining after the respray and refit... I didn't take any pictures of it prior to respraying it but it was covered in greasy marks and grime. Jim
  10. Oh happy days! I was looking earlier for some pics but couldn't find any. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them up, it's all installed now so it may not be easy to get a good picture but I'll do what I can for you. I removed my headlining and sprayed that outside of the car along with the sunroof surround but the actual sunroof panel I sprayed in situ. If you do remove yours be bloody careful as they are really flimsy and can break really easily. I'll get back to you tomz with some pics matey. Jim
  11. Bump, somebody help before I pull all my hair out :( Jim
  12. Do it, may as well. I'm in the middle of doing the same. Just getting hold of some ARP main studs and cam bolts as well. It's not cheap for all that lot though; with gaskets, bearings, rings, bolts and chains you won't have much change from £750. Bearings and rings can be bought from your local engine builder/engineering company; yell.com to find your nearest. Best of luck. Jim
  13. Sorry to raise this one again but I'm still unhappy about this. I've been looking at some old pictures of the Rado whilst taking it to pieces and found a picture which kind of confirmed my suspicions. I think I have bought the wrong replacement arms. If you look at the attachment it shows that the drop link is horizontal and attaches to the top of the arm; the link is also a lot shorter? Whereas the arms I bought and we've discussed in the past have taps which hang down and attach to the links. What the hell is going on? Please help somebody :( Please remember this is a VR6! Thanks in advance Jim
  14. Welcome Andy, prepare yourself for the torrent of people wanting new stuff though! lol Jim
  15. Sounds like my situation Dave, yes it's available. I think I used this person on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IVORY-CREAM-SPRAY-PAINT-CERAMIC-GLASS-FABRIC-METAL-etc-/380338824342?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Paint_Varnish_MJ&hash=item588df5e496#ht_2099wt_905 and bought the grey colour. You also get a link to a free floristry course if you buy from here lol. Better to mask off and spray rather than hand paint I would imagine. Just use lots of sheets on the interior and use lots of newspaper and masking tape. Good luck. Jim
  16. Think you may need to replace your window rollers. Replacing them stops the rattle on worn ones so it makes sense that they may be the root cause. See here for an old group buy for replacements http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?51246-Window-Rollers-Group-Buy-A-few-sets-left&highlight=window. Best of luck Jim
  17. ...that's still making me laugh now :D. I'm sure I've done similar stuff recently whilst restoring mine though. :) Jim
  18. That's one of the funniest things I've ever read! Give that man a round of applause :) Jim
  19. Will do, thanks for the tip. Jim
  20. Monza, I resprayed my headlining in a slightly darker grey including this piece and it looks mint. I used fabric spray that I bought from ebay. If you're doing the headlining then it takes a while to get it right without there being any striping but I'm happy with the result. You can probably find a post on this on my blog somewhere http://www.corrblimey.com. The stuff I used was called "Grey Flanel Spray Paint" and cost me £7.40 on ebay inc delivery. One tin did the whole thing. The end result is a slightly rougher texture but how often do you stroke your headlining? Good luck. Jim
  21. Hi All, I just wanted to put a quick message out their to recommend Alex (aka volksworld13 on this forum). He's created from scratch exact brake lines with fittings and grommets using the proper green/dark steel VW tubing for me at a great price. Thought I'd post this as unlike eBay there doesn't seem any other way to recommend someone doing adhoc work. Pics below. Well done Alex, bloody good work. Thanks Jim
  22. Never by a car off family or friends, unless you've discussed points which aren't perfect. it's really awkward if it goes wrong for both parties involved and you'll feel obliged to keep it rather than sell even if it starts to cost too much to own! They DRINK fuel too!! Jim
  23. Somebody on here is bound to be breaking these parts so hold tight. If not, you may have to try VW, they can't be that much. I tried to get a part number for you on ETKA but mine has expired :( Good luck. Jim
  24. I was thinking black but just wanted to stand out I guess. Hopefully it should look ok in situ!! :) Jim
