  2. so im not the only one to be doing top spped testing down the m25 hey?!? Ive hit 137 ( indicated ) in my 1.8 16v, on a flat bit. Id say that it felt like about 125-130 max really. Also hit 136 in my toyota corolla (1.6!) but this was down hill
  3. ill have a set of m3 style ones mate if you still need people. Send us a pm with your details and total price and ill send you a cheque. Cheers mate, dan
  4. Yeah sorry mate dynamat xtreme. On special offer at caraudiodirect at the moment. Ive got this for doing the door skins and rear quarter panels, some flashing tape for the floor pan and less important areas and 10 litres of dynashield for everything else. Hopefully should be quite.
  5. Dynashield is not as good as dynamat, extreme is the best in my opinion but the dynashield is ok for doing corners hard to reach areas ect.
  6. Pete, will have a look into this as its always nice to read about new ( to me anyway ) ideas. Do you have any links?
  7. Pete, what difference does making the panels different thickness's make? Sealed boxes are usually better for tightness and punch, they also usually drop lower. The idea of a ported box is to increase the level at a certain point, which means that below this tuning frequency subs tend to unload meaning the sub is effectivly playing free air, which can damage it if its not designed to do that. Bandpass boxs take serious skill to get right. have a look at this page http://members.lycos.co.uk/efmax/boxdes ... lained.htm The guy has serious skill, and can come up with the most amazing boxes.
  8. How much did you pay for it mate? If you got a good deal on it then keep hold of it and buy a nice amp to go with it, they are cracking cd players. If you can wait till after christmas I have a back to one at work which I took the laser out of for another. I will double check i have it but if you want it ill dig it out.
  9. im thinking about upgrading, and a guy at works sister has the following C. 1995 m plate vr6 Silver, auto, air con, electric cloth recaros. car has done about 75k from what I remember, most service history and its a bit tatty round the edges, but straight. What do you guys reckon on a rough value? Cheers.
  10. the body shop took mine of to blend the doors in and managed to pull the paint off :? does look good though. :D
  11. Ok here is the basic of it, After buying them they turned out not to fit my doorcards. I had a discussion with james about it and it turned out that they dont fit manual cards. I then got a complete electric window set up and tried them yesterday, but although they are better they dont sit flat still. I really dont want to have to cut these up, Maybe the door cards are still the wrong ones? Will try and get some photos for people to have a look at?
  12. Ok guys, still having a few problems trying to fit these, if anyone has done the job could you give me a shout. Thanks in advance guys.
  13. Ok, when I did my 16v downpipe I had to undo all the bolts ect, and then turn the downpipe round 180 degrees with a little wiggling and stuff. Bobs your auntie, out it popped!! I then had to go to the casualty department to get a large bit of rust from my eye!!!. So kids, wear goggles!!
  14. My 16v nearly passed away but is now on the way to a full recovery :D Furkig60, where abouts are you mate? Got this feeling you might have meant my car?
  15. The door cards cannot be the same, james at audioscape made some pods for me which fit on the set of early leccy door cards he has there, and they dont fit on my manual door cards :? Any one got/know of the whereabouts of a set of these leccy window door cards for sale?
  16. Guys, wondering if someone could help me out? Could anyone tell me if the early spec door cards are different for the manual and electric windows? Im thinking about fitting leccys to my C. Has anyone got audioscape pods for the manuals? I have some for mine but the fit seems to be different? Thanks in advance, Dan
  17. Come on then darren share the secrets!! How did you bolt the bottom of it down?
  18. after getting one of these and paying £120 for a piece of **** plastic, id really like to not break it. How have people fitted theirs? You get a bag of bits with it, but mine was ripped and only had about three screws with it. What could i be missing? Any help much appriciated guys.
  19. It is not an earth supply, its the power feed for the standard aerial booster. Connect it to the remote/electric aerial output of your stereo.
  20. I've just got a pair for my C, unfortuately I crashed it a week or so ago so have yet to fit them. They do look very good though and take up to 6.5" speakers. Recommended.
