Asim Any chance of a rough idea on how much you want? Pm me if you like. -
Mate, they are there for a reason. the heater matrixes suffer with popping the end result im sure you understand. I replaced mine with new volkswagen parts not that long ago and im pretty sure they were less than £20. If they are still the same money than I dont think its worth the risk imo.

3k is much cheapness! Bet your well pleased mate. Videos please!

VR6 TIMING CHAINS (No noise doesn't mean all's well)
corradokid replied to GB_SEAN's topic in Engine Bay
Yeah i understand that and im not worried about tackling the job myself, its just the general buying a corrado thing. When i brought my valver 5 years ago it was the first one I looked at and I brought it straight away. This time Ive looked at 5 or so and all of them have been less than great, some have been downright dogs. I think mine is a bit shabby and so far 1 ive seen has been better. It just seems at the moment every man and his dog seems to be asking top money for poo and to be honest its leading me to consider other cars, which is not really what I want to do. ( little mini rant over ) -
So how much would my car be worth nowadays....

VR6 TIMING CHAINS (No noise doesn't mean all's well)
corradokid replied to GB_SEAN's topic in Engine Bay
This is really worrying me now as i was going to look at a vr6 with 101k on it over the weekend, However i think my corrado owning days are going to be over soon. Who in there right mind pays 5k for a ten year old car which will need over a grand spent on it real soon? Can you imagine the conversation to the seller, yeah its a nice car but I want a grand knocked off due to it needing timing chains done. Cue hysterical laughter. -
Yeah i would imagine that the speed sensor code is coming up because the car isnt running.
-
Yeah the site isnt working again, just wanted to join. have not bothered for the last year or so as it was near impossible to get anywhere.
-
Id have a set to steve if they were sensible money. Maybe a nice little group buy could be organised?

corradokid replied to saysomestuff's topic in General Car Chat

Ok so what do tou guys think its worth now? From the pics it looks quite tidy anyway.
-
yeah using a 10amp fuse, just borrowed ants headlight switch and the same thing happens so its not that. The dash bulbs dont light up even with the fuse in, but it only blows when the resistor is all the way down. Will have to get some more fuses tomorrow.
-
Ok update, stuck another fuse in no problem, number plate lights working now, however it appears that the dash lights are not still ( might just be me ) But as soon as you move the resistor thingy on the headlight switch all the way to the bottom the fuse blows? It doesnt seem to illuminate the dash bulbs either? How typically corrado strange
-
Its only the no. plate bulbs which are on the same fuse, will have another look tomorrow when I can get some fuses. I only had one fuse, and when I put it in operating the dash resistor thingy appeared to make it blow?
-
Anyone got any ideas? headlights still work, thinking it maybe the switch but can this cause that problem?
