my old golf 2 gti 8 valve had 120mph on the speedo and it went fatser i think my corrado g60 says 260 kms but is that unacheavable as standard?? if so why put it there? -

i took my car to a new german mechanic today to get some parts changed on my car ( i normally try myself but thought i'd get it done properly ) . i got new cv joints , tie rods, wheel bearings, cat, inlet manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets, front and rear disks and pads. anyway the guy said 700 euros for the fitting does that sound right? about 450 pounds ish ( i payed 780 euros for the parts) :roll: :shock:

i had a hole put in the top of my fuel tank too and all the wheels on it when i bought it were buckled bar one and apparently the rear axles bent on one side so far i spent 4000 euros on it to start and im getting close to another 2000 on top of that, far too much for a g60 but there few and far between here i just hope it'll be worth it in the end.....

im nor even goin to start mate but have had it worse and my car still doesnt drive anything near right also theres no decent mechanics where i live , no other corrado owners just me goin crazy and trying to sort things myself it even got nicked and the robbin batsards left it around the corner cos it drives so bad!

best for me is most ford mustangs from the 60's and the bmw 850 csi (i think its that one anyway!) worst definatly the multipla but didnt it win car of the year or somthing? -

compared to alot of other car companys vw dont do that bad in my opinion i like the new golf and toureg its all down to opinions though

if i still lived in the u.k. i'd struggle to afford petrol but the prices are flying up here now too around the 1 euro mark for 98 still cheaper

i think the apex strips look fine so the timings next then fingers crossed i might notice a differance this time

i think its more than timing or the exhaust like corradowales said its like the chargers switched off the cars slow but it dosent stall and stats fine can anyone see anything with the charger from the pics?

yeah i think ill get the timing checked fingers crossed! i checked the pipes cant see any obvious holes it'd help if there was a good mechanic somwhere near where i live cheers

oh yeah the exhaust is in need of changing too but i dont think that it could slow the car down this much??
