i've been there and done the nice sensible, reliable car thing.... and it sucked!!!! dont get me wrong, my focus served me well and never went wrong, but what a boring car!!! the corsa, i am ashamed to admit owning... the jeep, it was good for pulling a horse box n just about nothing else... my Alfa 145 was good till the bottom started falling out of it but not as fast or a good to drive as Scarlett!!! and face it, my C does better in petrol than the corsa n the jeep, and costs me less to insure than any other car i've had.... plus... (yeah, i know i am going on a bit now....) the repairs to the C over the past 3 months of owning her are still less than i would have paid for finance on the past 4 cars i have had........ plus what other car makes u smile like that when u walk out to the car park after work n realise ure the one getting to drive it home????? so, basically, i'm keeping mine for a while!!!!!! :D

could it have anything to do then with the fact my passenger lock is utterly gubbed, if u put the key in it doesnt turn and when u take the key out it falls out in your hand!!? its at this moment wedged in till it gets fixed next month.....

well.... after putting this post up the central locking has decided to work again.... in fact its working so effing well sometimes it is unlocking all by itself!!!!! 4 times now i have gone to the car to find her fully unlocked, boot n all, when i know i definately locked her..... today so far shes been ok, the c/l has only been working when i've locked/unlocked her..... Shopping trips!!!! u must be joking!!! Corrado ownership has left me to skint to eat, never mind go shopping!!! tho its my turn for new shoes after next payday, shes got hers!!!! :D

drove about without any oil leaks/stalling/cutting out/farty noises from exhaust/bits of exhaust falling off/juddering/skidding/windows going down but not up/punctures/warning lights coming on......... it was a beautiful time......... tho am sure it wont last long......... :)

splitter is all cracked... was thinking bout putting the 40mm one on anyway when she gets dropped so i can still get her in the drive.... will definately just get it cleaned up and hopefully back to black before the VW show in June.......

CaiosG60 PWR, thanks for that.... all of her black bits have gone very grey... the splitter needs replaced, its all split (?) and its covered in oil from her previous oil leak.... something else to do to her, will add it to the list..... :)

hey guys... need some advice (again)... now we seem to have got some of the engine issues out the way i am gonna get started on the other stuff.... after payday of course... my central locking is gubbed completely and i cant get the boot open with the key... does anyone know if there is away of releasing the lock from the inside?????? cheers!!! :evil:

was gonna just drive straight up after she got sorted but decided against it as i would probably have hit someone or at least thrown something at 'em... am gonna call them in a wee while, will let u know what they say.....

heres the latest installment of the 'getting Scarlett fixed' saga... took off the ISV and cleaned it all last nite, put it back on this morn and after sitting for ten minutes i tried driving her to go get my new air filter, on the way there she cuts out at a junction and totally wont start, the engine was trying but not catching. someone stopped and helped me push her onto the verge and i called the AA (who i only joined last nite!!). nice wee AA man finally appears has a good look and cant figure out whats wrong, after 20 minutes he checks out the air filter housing and finds a greasy, oil covered cloth which had been partially sucked into the engine...!!!! obviously the idiots at the garage i had her at yesterday had left it there....!!! anyway it takes us 20 minutes to pick bits of this cloth out, put her back together and have her running sweet again!!! now have to go back up to the garage and show them what they done...... am not a happy girlie right now, think of the damage that could have done.......

found it!!! will take it off and clean it tonite!!! joy!
