this is the bl**dy car that started my Rado obsession... its all it's fault...!!! I had the same pics that u have on pg 1 framed on my wall from the age of about 10 til i was about 15!!! this was the car that made me swear to myself I'd own a red Rado one day... am sure I still have the poster somewhere!! my friends used to laugh at me cos they had pics of boy bands and such like on their walls and I had red corrados.............. :roll: I hope you can make it to a meet sometime... I wanna see this car in the flesh!!!

hmmmmm... I've been quite lucky so far, havnt spent as much as I could have, still have many things to fix tho... admittedly most of the money spent on my car has been on my alloy wheel fetish.... :wink: ...and quite a bit of it I need to pay back....... :oops: to start with the car cost me £800 have bought 3 sets of wheels (TSW, BBS, AEZ) at a total of £400 tyres for various wheels £200 (sold TSW's and original Estorils for £300 tho this weekend!) work done at garages 'repairing' exhaust and replacing lambda probe £330 (Dave fixing what the garage should have £0 and 15 min :roll: ) replacing plugs, leads, fan switch, thermostat etc etc..... £150 external stuff for tinting lights and spraying badges black £25 Passat rear handle and mech £10 smoked side repeaters £15 engine bay getting steam cleaned £20 (there was an engine under the oil!!!!) front seats were a pressie so dont count... all in all not tooooo bad cos she's going ok at the mo and looks good.... however am planning to spend quite a bit over the next year doing varous things, new wheels (again!), full stainless, coilovers, interior and some engine work...... beans n toast for me for the next year...... :roll: :lol:

i love this look! black centres and polished lip looks great on just about any colour car..... it seems to really suit black and silver C's especially..... if i ever buy a black one i'm gonna get some nice deep dish-stylee wheels n get them done like that... do it! do it! do it! :D

wheels are nice but i admit i aint convinced they suit the rado, plus its a hell of a lot of expense and hassle to get adaptors and roll arches etc when there are some plenty of 4x100 17's that will fit right on out there... but thats just my opinion, it would be your car!!! the lights look pretty good, just make sure you get the clear side repeaters to match... :)

can we not just say that rado's and relationships generally dont mix??? rather than having a go at the opposite sex??? it doest matter if u are male or female, the level of commitment/money that many of us put into our cars is something that non-car loving partners wil struggle to understand... but it would be the same if u were really into golf or any other hobby in a big way when your other half wasnt... i think the problem is that they struggle to understand why we put so much effort into it all when it causes us so much pain!!!! hence why Alex started this thread in the first place!!! :lol: but yeah.... am glad your not breaking the C, hope to see it on the road again.... :)

the Storm was a limited edition the VW made near the end of the Corrado production, there were 500 made, 250 in classic green and 250 in dark blue (cant remember the name of it)... as far as i know they are just the same as a VR of the same age but with leather interior, BBS Solitude wheels instead of the VR's Speedlines, and that all important 'Storm' badge!!! there is no difference in performance etc from a normal VR.... am sure i'll be corrected quickly if i am wrong... hth.... :)

ive got a sneaky suspicion that they dont make em anymore as 5 studs so you may have to trawl through Ebay.de to find a second hand set....
