Yes! definately.... :) Kev - had thought of that, but as my spoiler doesn't actually work I figured we could get away with it for now....

Thanks guys! Kip, I'll go give that a Google :) Sound like what we are after though, nice one. Delfinis38 - my Rado does have the flat rear bench but getting 2 heavy full suss bikes in and out the back, plus kit and spares, without taking chunks out of the rear panel or bumper is just getting annoying!
-
Anyone got any experience of using a bike rack on their Rado? Looking for one of the high level ones that will carry the bikes at rear window height due to my paranoia of carrying bike at bumper level, getting hit and damaging both my bike and my car in one! Getting sick of having to dismantle bikes to get them in the car - especially when muddy - and taking our Jeep all the way to Afan etc will bankrupt us.... Ta muchly! :)

Sorry guys - haven't been able to get on here the last couple of weeks. Taking a note of all requests now and will get back to you all asap... :)

Right - Late heater controls..... I hope your all sitting down for this :) Part no 536 819 054 Retail cost £190.10 + Vat. Currently 4 UK Stock. If you are able to order directly from TPS and you ask really nicely you should be able to get them for £174.89 plus Vat, which is a little better. But only a little.

Yup, that would be fine if you want to start it. Can people make sure to include which engine and year the C is that they are trying to get bits for. Cheers!

Just as a thought on this subject: if anyone does have any questions over the price or availibility of Corrado parts then drop the info to me in a PM and I will check the availibility with VW (I work in TPS so have access to VW stock levels). I'd hate to see anyone get ripped off over a part that may be still available cheaper brand new from a dealer! :)

.... and there is potentially a good home waiting for it.... :) -
Sweet Disposition from that album was a free download on iTunes about 3 weeks ago... damned good track, I put it on our radio show the same week 8) Yeah, brilliant song. Makes me feel happy and sad and reflective in equal meassure. Went to see The Temper Trap in London last week, they were absolutely amazing...! Love their sound, it's very unique.... If you like them check out their support band Goldhawks - http://www.myspace.com/goldhawks - as yet unsigned but pretty damn good!

*waves* Hello everyone... :) Yes, we have indeed moved to a new purpose built workshop, and it's AWESOME!!! No muddy lane, no more working out in the rain, no more doorless toilet and most importantly no more cold, damp, dungeon-like office..! Woo Hoo..! If any of you are going past please do pop in, we don't have the Klix machine yet, but I will stick the kettle on! The atmosphere is still the same, don't worry about that, its just a much nicer environment. New address is Unit 2, Winkworth Business Park, Hartley Wintney, Hook, RG27 8WP. We are right at the side of the A30 so no more trudging round country lanes for hours trying to find us. Cheers! Laura

I'm 99% certain I had press pics of a white G60 when I was a kid.... (which in itself is a bit sad, but....)
-
Dunno... looking through paper work now to see if it makes sense.... TBH only checking this out for my own Corrado Geekiness...! Would be uber cool if it was as its stock standard and has been well looked after....

Owner bought it direct from MK and still has the MK dealers plates on it and I think the reciept for the sale is there too.... Car is completely original and immaculate. ETA - doing some digging through history and VW ordered it via Paris, it was shipped to MK then collected by owner direct from them... apparently.... any idea if the VIN no could be checked to confirm this....?
-
Sorry - I should have said its RHD and has all the paperwork to show it was bought in Paris and imported to the UK. Its an H plate though which I would have thought was a bit late....?

Ive had a trawl through loads of stuff online but I can't find what I am looking for. Does anyone have a copy of the pic or a link to the pic/article/advert with the original white G60 in it? I seem to remember the G60 press car was a white one. Only asking as just came across a white G60 that is supposed to have been the first G60 imported and sold into the UK and just wondering if its the same car. Or does anyone know anythinga bout the 1st G60 that was on the road. Ta Muchly!!

Its deffo sad and creepy - thats why my rados all have names... :) I do it because its easier than saying 'The Corrado' all the time, especially when theres more than one Corrado in the household. Plus having had 3 red 16v C's they need individual names so we can tell which is which. My first red one was Scarlett, the next was Ruby and the one I have now is Nola. I never really named my other cars, but my Corrados are a bit more special and precious to me so they get their own names. Daves new one hasn't been given a name yet as we may not keep hold of it that long - it's merely getting called the 'black one'. :)

And me, especially mums in 4x4's late for school run on country lanes..I just almost stop dead now and let them drive around me, rather than being bullied into the verges because I have a little car. On the flip side I ended up on the verge in my Jeep after being forced to swerve off the road by an idiot in a MK1 Cabby who was overtaking someone on a blind corner on one of the country roads I take to work... Thank god I was in the Jeep which bounced up the high verge and not the Mk2 we had at the time which would have been buried in the verge and caused some damage.... The fact is no matter who you are and what you drive you do have to be careful. I was taught by my driving instructor to drive defensively, I'd rather yield and let someone out or let someone pass me than hold them up and have them sitting behind me getting angry or with them end up doing something rash or inappropriate that I might get caught up in. Driving has gotten worse in the 10 years I have had my licence, maybe because more people have newer cars that do everything for them and are too assisted and too cosseting and thus people don't have to drive them as much? I also noticed a huge difference in road manners when I moved from Glasgow to Surrey, I go through a jumction every morning that I have to wait on someone letting me out into the traffic, I can sit there for 5 min before I get to move, unless I p!ss someone off by bullying my way out which I'd rather not do...

Just been tidying some paperwork out and I came across the reciept I got for my first corrado when I bought it 3 and a bit years ago... She was a bit of a shed but I loved that car. I sold it on eventually and it was sold on again before it appeared on ebay earlier this year, I tried to buy it back then but the seller dissapeared and I have been imagining the worst as she wasn't in the best condition.... However I've just checked the DVLA and Insurance Database websites and she is taxed and insured, which surely means she is still going and not in the big scrap yard in the sky as I had imagined! She was a flash red 2.0ltr 16v, on AEZ Parons last time I saw her, reg is K287 SSU and she was last seen in Portsmouth area... Being the sentimental bugger that I am I will buy her back one day I hope, but for now I'm just happy to think she might still be going.... I won't be happy until she is tucked up on my drive way with the 2 'Rados we have now, though I have learned my lesson, I've seriously regretted selling both my previous Corrados so the current one isn't going anywhere!!! If anyone see's her or knows anything, can you let me know..... Thankies!!!

its been a long, long time since I have been able to post in this thread, its so good to be back! Tonight I watched while someone else took pity and fitted my (free) Vibratechnics front mount for me... the old one was the most fubarred that the boys in work had seen, car feels transformed and it cost me no money and no time.... result!
