The glass (or the mechanism) rattles whenever I close the door, even when the window is fully closed!
-
Cheers guys, dr_mat it does feel like the glass is gonna break in when I close the door! eek Guess im best getting the door card off and having a good look.

Wonder if anyone can help.. My drivers side door has never shut easily and always needs a good push to get it to catch. Because of this the electric window developed quite a rattle on closing and now does not rise evenly, slows down, left side (of the window) goes up and bit then the right side. Sometimes it just stops and you have to grab the top of the glass and jiggle it a bit while pressin the button. Went to the local dealers and they quoted me 70 buff for a whole new window mech, but im guessin its just a clip or somehting that has broke/is breaking... sound reasonable??? Also, the reason the door is not closing.... is this the common corrado door prob?

Audi/Passat 5x112 Hub Front/Rear Connversion???
DaveVR6 replied to markcorrado1's topic in Drivetrain
Im wanting to fit Aero II's to my VRr. Is having your hubs drilled a costly job? Is it legal? Is it safe!? -
The initial idea was to use a standard C pod as a base, so it would just drop in. although the mk4 clocks would fit, it would be tight and may look ... crap! Not sure fo the dimensions on TT clocks

-
I have a set of golf 4 clocks that a friend has donated to the project. Once I inside them and have a look at the wiring ill know more. Will keep you posted!

Im toying with the idea of changing the clock pod in my vr6 so it uses either golf 4 or audi tt clocks. Was wondering if anyone has tried this before and any suggestions or tips available Ive got a spare vr6 clock pod to play with (hopefully!), thinking of using that as a basis and matching and transplanting in each element one at a time. The main prob I think will be the displays as i know that the central one (on a golf 4) is dot matrix. Anyway, any suggestions, ideas, experiences would be much appriciated. cheers

I was driving along happily yesterday, in fifth, just gone down a hill so was letting gravity do its thing, when i got to the bottom and push my foot about half way down on the accelerator (expecting the car to take off a little) it just juddered and bucked a bit (like it was starved for petrol) i kept my foot in the same position on the accelerator and after a few seconds more of juddering and going really slowly it shot off again. then a bit further down the round (foot still in same position, on level ground now) it suddently slowed right down, so i pumped the accelerator and nothing happened it just sat at the same speed, no stalling or anything just sat at bout 30mph after a couple more seconds and me putting my foot flat to the floor it took off again...... could this be the fuel pump or is it some sort of sensor (hall sensor???) Sorry thats a bit long, lol!! Any ideas much appriciated
-
Yea thats the prob, glad its nothing to worry about.
-
Might be worrying for no reason but my C has developed a creak! It only happens from when excellerating for a stand (mainly on an incline). As lifting off the clutch and pushing down on the accelerator there is a metallic creaking sound comes from underneath the car.. Is this anything to worry about??

Looks sweet! How is your suspension setup? have u had your arches rolled??
-
its just over the last week, it seems to have got stodgy-er!! and i thought i it was misfiring yesterday, but it seemed fine today..??
-
id like to know the answer to the above questions as well, my C seems stodgy at lower revs and only takes of at about 4k.
-
Thats a good idea!

I managed it without breaking anything! Does anyone know if you can get the colour piece of plastic that sits on the inside (that is currently green) in any other colour?? Im guessin not but jus thought id ask.
