  1. not really had the chance to look at it yet mate but i'll try that for sure.
  2. I'm i right in thinking that the full version of VAG COM provides troubleshooting steps following each error code???
  3. I'd agree.. first check your HT lead are firmly pushed onto the plugs.

    HT leads for VR6

I think you just have to file down the plastic grippers in the exsisting channels... not too difficult i don't think... if you get some red leads and want to sell your blue let me know.
  5. Hammer out the old rubber centres then hacksaw through the metal surround to releave the pressure then hammer the metal out... easy. Then your new bushes shou;d go in easy enough with some lube!
  6. Took one out a couple of days ago and i'm afraid to say no amount of 'gentle' leavering and tapping would move it... in the end it came out in about ten pieces. Replacement was £20 from GSF.
  7. The story is that the abs light came on and found fault with the front left sensor. I cleared that fault and drove round the block, the fault instantly re-appeared. I replaced the front left sensor.. cleared any faults shown on VAG COM and took her out for a spin. ABS light re-appear... this time showing the fault at the top of this tread. I've cleared the fault and have a spin this weekend. Just trying to see what my troubleshooting process is gonna be if the fault re-appears. Not sure if the ABS is currently working haven't tried it.
  8. ABS fault code displayed with VAG COM... 00793 - Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100) 35-00 I understand i'll find this little baby under the brake servo... Does anyone know any way of testing the sensor for faults?? Should i be able to test with a multi meter??
  9. Plenty of threads on here about changing rear axles bushes... http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... xle_Bushes
  10. Where would i get this from??
  11. Sounds like rear axle bushes... before i did mine the back end would feel very wobbly/unstable/floaty (best description i can manage) round corners and under breaking. Did my rear axle bushes and its now solid as a rock.
  12. Lovely job... cheers mate
  13. Any news guys... i'd love a part number if anyone has any joy... thanks for your efforts on this one!!
  14. Yeah just B&Q and a little time spent getting them right. Brought some thin alloy that was easy to shape by hand to mock up the brakets... then copied the weak alloy ones i'd made with steel. Also had them coated so they match the cooler and don't rust. My oil heats up very quickly then stays at a steady 90 - 95. I believe the new sandwich plate acts like a thermostat allowing the oil to get to temp before cooling it.
  15. I know used your pic's from the group buy to help me out... cheers for the help. I think i used thinner steal than you so i though best to put in the top mount. I'd advise anyone with a vr6 to get a cooler... i've been so impressed with mine!!
  16. Couple of Pic's of my install... fitted to same place as CorradoVR6-n.o.s after seeing his (thanks for the help)... i did however remove the slam panel and rediator... found it much easier this way and removal only took 15 minutes.
  17. I'll defo be up for a valet kit if you ever fancy putting one together.
  18. Ace job all round mate... any chance of a freebie... i'll supply beer and bbq :D
