nice one cheers, is it a call to g-werks then. how hard are they to fit.

im in bramley, ive seen you about and i think a few years back before i got my rado i actually had a ride in yours. how much for the oil coolers, of course il have to get mine running again before i even think about doing any of this.
-
yeah thats right. sounds alot like the problem i have got at the moment, just waiting on a ecu coming because we narrowed it down to that, mine started like that then it wouldnt fire up at all. you tried cleaning the isv. is the blue temp sensor plugged in and working, because i noticed when i had the ignition on and the blue temp sensor unplugged the isv made a ticking noise.

am i right in saying that a chargecooler uses water to cool the air.
-
im wanting to uprate the intercooler sometime soon and was wondering which was best to go for. I havent seen many g60's on here with a chargecooler, just wondered why.

hair dryer, or be very careful with a paint stripper. to remove the mess underneath use alot of elbow grease and polish.
-
are you heating the strips up first

gutted, i thought that i had been done about two months ago. still havent heard anything so fingers crossed. i dont think he can just do you like that, i thought he would have to get photographic evidence. anyway just hope and pray like me -
seen these on a couple of cars and they are growing on me. just wondering if anyone has got one and where you can get them from and how much they cost. seen one for the front bumper on ebay but not the bonnet.
-
where can you buy this from, how much is it?
-
another one i had a bit back was for the covers in the rain gutters, if i remember it was nearly £120 a side. so i told them i would leave that aswell. it would probably be just as cheap to have them smoothed.

i need an ecu for my 91 g60 so out of interest i rang the dealers up today for a price, after a while they found the correct one and thats when he broke it to me. £731!!!! if i was really going to buy it i would have to wait at least 2 weeks. i told him to leave it with me and hung up the phone and just laughed. anyone else got a good quote from the stealers?

i had a polo before the rado and if i put the blower on full with the headlights on without the key in the ignition nothing much would happen apart from the lights been on, but if i put full beem on the blowers come on. i tried it with the rado and it too does it. does anyone elses? sorry if we are going off topic.

right then, thanks for the posts. just had some guy out to have a look at it. he thought it was the jabba chip that wasnt working right, so we took the ecu out and took it apart to just try it with the standard chip to see if it would start, changed chips left the ecu open and plugged it back in. get in, it fired up straight away run smoothly. so i turned it off put the ecu back together with the standard chip put it back in and tried to start it again. did exactly what is was doing before so then we thought it was the ecu. we took it back out and apart again to see if it was a break in the circuit somewhere and that when it was opened it joined it up, tried to fire it up but as i did a little puff of smoke was seen from the ecu. so we think the ecu is shagged. anyone got any in full working order for sale please. pm me if you have. cheers -

ive checked the vac pipes. lambda sensor, and changed the blue temp sensor. ive checked everything else. the car wont even start now. tried starting a few times, then it started to fire up a bit. when it did tick over was shoocking about 700rpm. when it doesnt start and i let off the key fuel vapour comes out of the little k and n filteron the isv. what i fitted when i did the boost return mod. got some bloke coming to have a look at it on friday. anyone got any other ideas. -

it was okay all the way back from the exhaust place. just as soon as it pissed it down. -
mine is the same. i have to use the push button start all the time now, hasnt failed yet.
-
right then first time i have had her out in the rain for ages. just diving normal everything felt ok, went to put the right foot down and when i did so not alot happened apart from flames and bangs coming from the exhaust. the car didnt go any faster just splutted like just loads of fuel was being pumped through but nothing else. if i didnt floor it, it was ok. could it be the lambda sensor. no other holes in the exhaust. its been over fueling a little bit for a while, nothing like this though. can anyone shade any light on this. could it be the jabba chip?
-
ive done a search on this and it hasnt turned anything up for the g60. i want to do it to mine and was wondering if anyone could give me intructions and pictures if poss.
-
just checked coolant, it was low. i hadnt checked it in ages. also found a little leak out of the front of the block from a gasket where the black and blue temp sensors are. ive also changed the temp gauge for one i had in the garage. job done. i hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
just been out for a little drive. just driving steadily down a lane, when all of a sudden the temp/coolant light started to flash, i looked at the gauge and it was flying up, i pulled over and turned the car off, the fan was on i left it a few minutes and the fan went off, switched the ignition on and the temp gauge shot up right off the scale and then just came back down to its resting spot. the light stopped flashing and i drove home, carefully, the temp gauge didnt move, but the light did start flashing again. anyone got any ideas. im just waiting for it to cool down a bit then il check the coolant level and the temp sencors.

yeah cheers mate i will.
